Always stay at Hampton Inns whenever I can because they all seem clean, quiet, and reasonable. St Johns...ask for river view if you can get it

The hotel has a great location, right along the St John's River. There is a nicely landscaped river walk right out the front door. Big breakfast area with river views and good food selection. The area felt very safe. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and professional, very good at their jobs! Our room was clean with VERY SOFT comfortable beds and a nice big TV. Our only complaint was that the room had a super strong smell from room deoderizing products. The windows do not open, so we used the AC and the bathroom fan to try to air it out. We were left with a faint smell of either pot, or funky dog.(it is a pet friendly hotel). I would still choose this hotel again.

Hampton Inn Palatka, Fl On 4/24/23 I booked and prepaid a room at the Hampton Inn Palatka, FL through AAA for $358.54, for 6/1-3/23 to visit my elderly mother. Upon check-in I was told my room was prepaid (yes) but they needed to swipe my credit card in case there were any incidental expenses. Upon check out I was given a receipt showing a 0 balance. On Monday 6/5/23 when checking my credit card there was a charge for $305.92. I’ve been calling since Monday night to get this resolved, and have yet to receive a refund or a call from the General Manager. The room was clean but it was not worth $664.46 for 2 nights, nor did we charge any incidentals. When you get gas, stations will put a hold of $1.00 until you finish pumping, not $305.92 which was what Hampton Inn did. It is their mistake and my money should have long been refunded, with an apology for “Their” mistake. A word to the wise BEWARE of their bad business practices. Unless you have money to burn, you may want to think twice before giving them your business

If you are looking for a hot shower, you will not find it at this hotel. The shower was lukewarm.
Breakfast consisted of a box from a refrigerator which included a bagel, cream cheese, two hard boiled eggs and a container of yogurt. It was terrible. We had stayed at a Comfort Inn the night before at the Savannah airport. They had their waffle maker up and running, lots of pastries and Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches to be microwaved. Imagine our surprise when we paid a huge price for the Hampton Inn and the accommodations were sub standard.

We have two issues with this Hotel. First is that when I went into the bathroom of room #422 and closed the door, I gasped. In the corner was a large buildup of dirt, grime, and cobwebs, absolutely sickening. Second is that I was given a decent price for each night of our stay at the time that I booked room #422, which was confirmed when we checked in. When we checked out, we were billed at a much higher price. The manager refused to honor the original price that we were quoted, which I believe to be a "bait and switch" and very dishonorable. We will never stay there again but I was given the impression that the manager could care less.

Cut my stay short over the Thanksgiving break due to roaches taking over the room. Night one, killed a baby roach. Woke up the next morning, more roaches. Additionally, management allows guests to roam around without masks. If you love COVID and roaches stay here. Will never return.

Toilet sets way too low like your sitting on the floor. Bathroom floor very sticky both times i stayed there. Towels very, very thin washed in bleach too many times. No microwave in room. Bed was very uncomfortable.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Room clean, water hot. Bed comfortable. My allergies were acting up and they provided more tissues happily. The breakfast was decent the only negative was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy

The Hampton Inn handles a big military group. The staff is very good at multitasking at the desk and accommodating my group. The job I have is demanding and I am the hotel makes me so comfortable and this is just one place I don’t have to worry whenever my group comes to stay. They flow with all the room changes,
