The room (130) was spotlessly clean!
The bed was comfortable, though getting a little worn.
The water was good and the water pressure was excellent.
I was impressed at how fast the hot water was available.
Room had small fridge, occasionally noisy when the compressor came on.
Small microwave.
Small TV with excellent reception and many available channels.
No highway noise at all, but neighbors' TV could be heard until they turned it off. Not sure if the insulation was too thin or they just had the TV turned up too loud. I use ear plugs anyway so I had no problem sleeping.
The check in person was extremely helpful.
Interestingly, there was a pool table in the office area.

awesome hotel, very clean, very quiet, views of river/sunrise the best. If you have to stay near Palatka then this is the place, just off sr 17 north of town. Very large room with giant tv on wall. This is on my favorites list from now on.

I came here with my grandparents in hopes of a nice hotel so I can have a nice vacation. Then when we arrived we were disappointed in the room we had received. We were mislead expecting that it was gonna be a nice room with a great view of the lake but instead we were given a disastrous room with no view of the lake (And if we did have a view of the lake the nuclear powerplant nearby ruins the view), horrible WiFi connection, a broken TV, and the door allowed cold air to escape and let bugs in. Also, they are allowing people to smoke even though it is nonsmoking in the rooms. Completely displeased and will never come back.

Shady characters in the parking lot. We did not feel safe with people in hooded sweat shirts covering their faces hanging around in the parking lot at night. Hotel should have security, and not allow loitering, invest in better lighting if they would like to create a welcoming safe environment for their visitors.

Booked a 6 night stay due to jome renovation. Stayed one night and checked out. Diety sticky floors, filthy furniture (couch and desk chair). Hair on walls in shower. Ripped bedding. Breakfast was very limited. Toaster didnt work properly. Front desk was kind but blamed condition of room on the workers who stay there. Not an excuse. This is your hotel..keep it clean. Left after one night. It is shame as the river is beautiful.

I have a local business and know the NEW OWNERS. These people have really taken the place to new heights. The reviews you see that are less than Excellent are from the previous owners. This place is top notch now. A beautiful location and really nice people. Gators, otters and manatees on the river to see. Boats to rent. Plenty to see and do locally. Ravine Gardens State Park. Excellent food in the hotel Now! If you leave unhappy it is on you. I put friends and business associates in here. We eat there regularly. Love it, Love it!

My husband, myself, and some more family members stayed 5 nights at the Crystal Cove Resort the first part of March. Wonderful place, the new owners Kelly and Whitney were very nice and friendly along with all of the other staff. The rooms were roomy and comfortable. We rented a pontoon boat for a day to go out on St Johns River, and because my husband was disabled, they volunteered to let Mark one of their staff go out with us. He did everything he good to make our trip enjoyable, he went beyond his duties to see that we had a good time, he is an exceptional nice guy. Thanks Mark for making our stay there so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a good quiet enjoyable place to stay with people that are very nice. We will be coming back.

we came down here to visit my son and family on our first leg of our vacation. my brother recommended crystal cove. after the long drive from my sons home i was pleasantly suprised to see this place! the rooms are comfortable and quiet. the staff is very friendly. the only reason i gave crystal cove a very good instead of excellent is that the restaurant was not open yet! when we are in this area again i will definitely stay here!!!!!!!! :)

We were charged and paid $112.49 per night + tax and fees and stayed 4 nights for just under $500. Prices online range from $68/$82 per night. I called Expedia to ask why we were charged more than the online prices and received no understandable reason or assistance. When I asked for a credit of the difference we were charged verses the price displayed online we were dismissed and spoke to in a very rude manner. We have stayed at a couple other locations in the area of Palatka. They were very nice,fresh, clean and the accomendations were excellent & we payed less if not around the same than we paid at Crystal Cove Riverfront. So when we booked Crystal Cove Riverfront Resort we expected a nice experience. If the others were not sold out for the Holiday weekend we would have checked out the same night we checked in. We were placed in a room that faced the parking lot and the other guest who seem to be "living" there were always hanging outside our room, sitting in chairs & on the benches. I felt very uneasy leaving the room at night with my teenage daughter. The outside was covered with spiders, webs and bugs,the walls and the railing on the 2nd floor,were completely covered! If the area was sprayed and brushed off even once a week it would make a huge difference. We went to the office to speak to someone but no one was behind the desk. After waiting for awhile we went back to our room. In fact the only staff we saw after checking in were the ladies that clean the rooms We were told, the day we booked, we would receive a $75 deposit credit on the card we used to book the room,upon check out. We have not received the credit, Over all, we are very disappointed in the quality of the motel and the amount we were charged for a place that is advertised for almost $45, minus taxes & fees,less per day than we paid.

I want to first apologize that you were disappointed with your stay at our hotel. As you can tell on previous reviews we take our guest feedback very seriously and aim to resolve any issues that have occurred. I do not work or speak for Expedia so any troubles you had with them, I would hope would reflect on them directly versus my hotel. Our hotel works very closely with the online travel agencies but, cannot be held responsible for any errors that occur on their behalf. However the other things that you mentioned are things that we can be held responsible for and things that I will most definitely correct. In regards to the bugs that you mentioned they are called "blind mosquitoes" while they do not cause any harm they are a terrible nuisance as they swarm in 1,000; they develop from the river and unfortunately there are no preventatives available to calm them. We do wipe and dust for them but this is a daily task I will meet with my staff and ensure they are following proper procedures. I also want to apologize that there was no one at the desk when you came up front for assistance my staff is always available and if they are not present at the desk they are in the back attending to other responsibilities with that said I do apologize for them not attending to your needs. We never want a guest to feel insecure about were they are staying and we welcome the feedback as it helps us improve. I will use yours directly to meet with my staff and show them where we need to improve. Thank you for the review.

Right on the St John's River with a restaurant and outdoor dining with music. We stayed two evenings and had a great view. There is a small breakfast consisting of juice, coffee, tea, waffles, bagels and oranges and apples. The coffee was horrible. The staff were very friendly. Our waitress, Hollis (I think was her name) was very nice and a good waitress.
The room was so, so, but we are not too fussy. It was a nice little getaway for a couple nights. Friday night there was music outside by the water and boats and we had drinks and food.
The food the first night was excellent. I had stuffed mahi mahi and it was delicious. My husband had Alfredo the first night and it was good. The manager came to see how everything was. The brisket is really good too, my husband had that the second night. I had Artichoke-Spinach dip and it was good. Would definitely go back.

2018 30th Annual Blue Crab Festival is cancelled as far as I know. I am sorry I can not confirm 100% this is true. The Crystal Cove Resort would be a short distance from activities. There is an event scheduled in St. Augustine weekend of 04/28-4/29/18 (A Taste of St. Augustine). Outdoor event and a (5K)run. Sadly, financial.
Is this hotel close to the annual blue crab festival that is coming up may 25th thru 28th.
THe two buildings on this site are the same motel. They are not two separate companies. They just have separate buildings. One has the reception area in it and the second one doesn't.
I went with a group who go fishing. This is more of a place for people who fish for sport. It is not a luxury hotel, but we found the place to be very clean and the employees very accommodating.
We enjoyed ourselves so much, we have booked another trip to this location.
