Raccoon river camp ground: easy to reserve and even specify a camping site. Sites were a little "tight," not enough space for family to spread out. Playground very good for older kids nothing for the Toddler. Pools were very nice and well maintained. Bathhouse needs a little facelift: some of the showers needed new shower heads and all needed mats...

Racoon River- This is being added to as our vacation continues daily so if it seems like I am jumping around, it's just being added to daily. I called in March to reserve our vacation for June 10 through June 19 and confirmed that we would be arriving early to insure they still allowed early check in if sites were...

My wife and I made reservations for a week's stay over the Memorial Day weekend in 2016, and really enjoyed the facilities and staff. Our friends stayed in a nearby "RV Resort", which looked as sterile as a gated community. We like CAMPING...you know - trees, ponds, grass... not concrete pads and bricked drives. From check in through checkout, the...

Made reservations weeks in advance knowing we couldn't pick our site but that it was 1st come 1st served. Get there when the campground was about 1/4 full and were assigned lots. 33' 5th wheel in a spot that simply wouldn't accommodate it. Could either use the slide out OR the awning. Other site our friends got couldn't fit their...

Me and my friends stayed here in a tent from April 22nd-26th. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The grounds had very little trash, but was generally maintained. They did not have any firewood, but had some logs that had been cut up in their overflow area and we were able to use those (of course we had to...

This was our second trip to this campground. Our 2015 visit was great so we came back. This year the staff must have changed. The bathrooms were never cleaned and the grounds were not maintained. We were very disappointed this time. It was crowded this time as well.

We stayed here for the first time in March 2016 for spring break. You have a nice private drive to walk the 0.4 mile to the beach. My dog and I enjoyed that walk at 7am every morning. The campground seemed to be filled with a nice mix of long term campers and families. But children were welcome and entertained...

Stayed there for four days in May 2015. Great place practically on the beach. Just a few minutes walk. Several eating places close by also. Staff was very friendly and campground was wonderful. Bathhouse was very nice. Looking forward to going back in May 2016.
