Here for a funeral and actually thought the hotel was great to us. Angela at the desk went out of her way to show us compassion and make us as comfortable as possible. The hotel was fortunately quiet and we had several walkable dining options. Area, parking seems safe. Rooms could use a little updates, but overall ours was clean and we appreciated the 2 bedroom with living room and kitchen so we could stay together as a family.
Stayed a few nights while in town for work. I had stayed at Springhill Suites before, but hadn't at Townplace. It's like Walmart compared to Target. Smaller rooms, little less updated, a little dingier. But fine. Kitchenette with stovetop and big fridge. Carpet in the main area. Full sized toiletries in the shower (the shower gel was empty and never got refilled while I was there.) Hotel has coin laundry. Breakfast was offered, but it's prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, toast, cereal, etc. Not sure if before covid it was different. Small gym, one of the two treadmills was broken while I was there. Parking was tricky, seemed like there wasn't enough spots for the hotel, and it's adjacent to other hotels' parking lots. All in all it was fine, you can certainly do worse in Pensacola …
Did someone say roaches yes indeed the do have roaches. Also I thought the room smelled like a wet dog . It hadn't been cleaned and boy this management team ,needs to get their act together. The room I was in wasn't clean unfortunate and it had a pea smelling mattress as a sofa bed . Poor up keep of this hotel ,and it needs to closed due to unsanitary conditions. However;, I am going to the Attorney Generals Office because this is just plain out nasty and flitty renting out rooms with uncleaned areas . Over charging people and having people sleep in fitty rooms . Management needs to be shame its going to be reported to cooperate and Better Business beaura.
I left after asking to what what a room looked like. The room smelled musty like it hadn’t been used or cleaned in a while. Looking around the room it was a healthy hearted cleaning job. Roaches came out from behind the bed. No thank you!
The hotel shares a parking lot with three other Marriott properties. The pool is actually in the front of the hotel next to the entry and the parking lot There are no barriers to the parking lot. Check in was smooth and the room was clean and nicely equipped. The T.V. was on a support arm that swiveled and adjusted in several ways. This was a very nice addition. There were no USB ports and no safe in the room. There was a large refer and freezer and small 2 burner stove. The room did have a reasonable amount of closet and storage space. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean overall. The tub in the bathroom drained very slowly. When taking a shower, the water was quickly ankle deep. The breakfast was really rather dismal. It consisted of individually wrapped sausage biscuits that were dry and not very good, some cereals, oatmeal and fruit. Juice and small bottles of water were also available. On another day they had the sausage biscuits and some sort of pre=packaged waffle thing. The price point at which I reserved was reasonable, but I have seen this hotel charging several hundred a night. No way it is worth that kind of money. It had a good location with plenty of places to eat nearby. Not sure if I would choose this option in the future. The price would have to be right.…
Very nice stay for 1 night. Amenities and room were excellent. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is nicely clean. I told the desk attendant this morning we would be returning. Booked through the Marriott website, and got a great rate. Juat off I-10. Easy off easy on.
We stayed in room 303. The room smelled. Appeared to be clean but the smell made it impossible to enjoy. I mentioned this to the manager after we left. She didn't seem to care nor did there seem to be any plan to address the odor. There's a strong skunk odor on the outside of the hotel by the front door, too. I mentioned that to the front desk and they were aware but said they "wish they could do something about it".
Amber and GiGi were AMAZING!! They made sure we were comfortable and that everything was above standards. They made sure they went above and beyond. Great customer service! The best I have had at a Marriott by far!
The staff at TownePlace was some of the best I have experienced as a frequent Marriott guest. They constantly went out of the way to ensure I had everything required for a trip. I don't normally post about hotels, but the staff made all the difference. Highly recommended.
Loved the hotel! The rooms were great and the staff was wonderful (: Especially Ciara! She was so helpful and kind and always there when you need her! Definitely a great employee! also loved the gym and pool 😍 The hotel was very quiet, no loud guests or disturbances! Overall a great experiences!
