Stopped for a one night stay as it was close to where we were visiting friends. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Lobby area looked great. The hotel appears to be older and in some areas showing its age. The breakfast was excellent and sitting area was very roomy. The only issue was the room. The bed was comfy, and furniture seemed fine. But there was a smell to the room. I should have asked to change rooms but made due for the one night. I would stay here again.
I stayed here because it was close to the airport and I had an early flight home the next morning. My first impression when I arrived was that it's in a very secluded area. There's a gas station across the street. The check in process was simple. I must add that there is a 100 dollar deposit..they accept cash or card. You get it back after they inspect your room when you check out. The room was nice. Nothing super fancy but it was clean. It appeared that it was newly remodeled. My only complaint was that the Ac unit would only blow softly which made the room stuffy. But If you're looking for a decently priced hotel to lay your head I think this hotel Is a good choice.
I was glad to see that the hallway walls, carpet, and lights were all in excellent condition. The room was also in great shape. The room was quiet and had a nice view overlooking the swimming pool. The breakfast surprised me because it was excellent with many different offerings. I was grateful for numerous room amenities, including an iron and ironing board, a small hair dryer, and even a Gideons Bible in a bedside drawer. I stayed for 4 nights.
I have been to this hotel several times over the last few years and always know what to expect. It is an older hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a great buffet breakfast. Prices are reasonable. It is right off I-10 and there is plenty of parking.
Checking in Heather was very friendly and welcomed us as we entered , as a matter of fact just about everyone that works there is friendly. Our room was clean, the over all inside is a little outdated , My room had a few problems that maintenance, like dresser drawer are falling apart , bathroom sink knob just spins , bedroom a/c extremely Loud ..and the couch is not comfortable. My bed was comfortable, room cleaned the laundry room was disgusting bugs change was inside the washer and dryer ! We requested a early check in and checkout also , Now lets talk out Breakfast, was amazing , Connie does a great job, eggs sausage biscuits sausage gravy waffle maker all kinds of juice pink lemonade, cereal fruit etc .. stop at front desk to make sure we had a late checkout and was told you have to pay for a late checkout .. hmm ? Going to stay another night , Nope if you charge for late and early check in / out .my money will go down the street…
We arrived on our motorcycle to the Quality Inn in Pensacola during the height of a terrific rainstorm. The front desk staff were friendly & helpful & allowed us to park the motorcycle under the front door canopy & gave us a list of restaurants which would deliver dinner during the storm. Our room was a good size, clean, comfortable, nice bed, good supply of towels & toiletries. We were able to do our laundry in the guest laundry room. We could see the beautiful pool area in the middle of the hotel grounds but we didn’t go swimming in the rain. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of foods.
Most of the people were friendly. Housekeeping did not come unless requested. It had a small game area with pool table pinball etc. Breakfast was okay but eggs were not really scrambled looked like boiled eggs chopped up. Pool needed cleaning badly scum on the bottom.
The A/C didn’t work. There was mold in the room under the a/c. The floor was full of water. The air conditioner didn’t work in our room and it was horrible hot in Florida the front desk sent maintenance and he stood there in front of the a/c and said well I told them they needed drip pans in the rooms. We ask to be moved to another room and was told no nothing is available they refused to call a sister hotel. Called choice 800 number and was told they couldn’t help until we checked out of the room. So after spending the night in a mold infected no air conditioner room we go to check out and was told the manger is never at the property and they gave us 10% off the room. Ask them if they would leave their family in that situation and was told no, so basically that tells me the hotel itself and choice hotels don’t give a crap. Very nasty I have more photos but can’t add more that 10…
This hotel has a lot of great potential. There were issues that could be worked on. For example, the “game room” that’s advertised had a few things with an “out of order sign.” There were multiple ice machines with an “out of order” sign. We actually only found one that worked. Vending machines with an “out of order” sign. During the continental breakfast, the employees had to announce that they were out of syrup…..with a long line at the waffle maker.
First off I’m pretty patient person but this place was ridiculous! We stopped at almost 2pm to book a room. Well we reserved a suite but was told we couldn’t actually check in till after 3pm. No problem, we went across the street to DQ for meal & down to Bayview Trails for hike through the woods to the the shoreline. Got back right at 3. Go in and we are told our suite wasn’t ready it be 20 mins. We could bring our luggage in on cart wait. So we did. 20 more mins. & we are told they short staffed it be 20 more mins. That passes & once again we are told 20 more mins. cause suite takes longer to clean cause it’s bigger. After another 20 mins. the supervisor physically walks down to see the problem comes back says still not cleaned cause the “new” girl is slow & room big. So for 3pm check in we didn’t get to actually go into our room till almost 5pm! We had been on the road for over 8hrs just wanted to shower & clean up. Staff didn’t even bother to offer discount or nothing for this. I worked housekeeping for Hampton Inn previously I know how the job is. But this was ridiculous. They room was clean & decent sized suite but outdated/overused looking. The living room chair was so worn the back caved in when you leaned back. The couch pull out so thin you felt springs & the two full beds in the bedroom so hard I swear it was like being on plywood. Only positive things I can say about the place was the shower was hot with great pressure, larger room fridge than most & the breakfast bar was so good!. Additionally, the game room was not on the “house” you had to pay to play the pinball machine and pac man. Foosball was out of order & pool table was pay but there was no sticks anywhere to be found. They also had a no play 10-7 for quite time as it was in middle lobby. Additionally, the people above us slide furniture around all night long making sooooooo much noise. This was by far the worst hotel experience ever especially for the $249 price tag a night. We stayed at a $99 night before in Alabama that I gave 4.5! Do not recommend this place nor would I stay here again not even for free!…
