This hotel's location is excellent for walking to nearby bars, restaurants and parks. It is very clean and very well maintained. There is a center courtyard with a nice water feature and comfortable seating for enjoying the Florida sunshine. Our room (#204) had one king bed. It is a smallish room but very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, personable and helpful. The only minor improvement we could suggest is perhaps have a couple of fresh food options for breakfast. The lobby coffee is very tasty and fresh. All in all we are very pleased and would book here again.
We had such a great stay in Pensacola and all the better for the unexpectedness of it all. We had originally intended to stop in Destin but didn’t much like the look of it so carried on down the road. Luckily I had a guide book which mentioned this brilliant refurbished 1950s motel right in the centre of the city. The bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance so very convenient for the travel weary driver, and it meant having a drink without worrying. The rooms aren’t huge but the bed was super comfortable, it’s spotlessly clean and we arrived just in time for beer, wine and snacks in the lobby. Breakfast is pretty much a grab and go but everything was available for you, again in the lobby. Yogurts, energy bars, tea and coffee etc. It’s great value and we can’t recommend it more highly - in fact it’s one of the favourite stops along our long road trip.…
In the current high tech era, The Sole’ is a throw back to hotels in the 60s? No frills. Not spacious. However, that said, it is comfortable and clean AND located smack dab in the middle of downtown Pensacola. Can’t beat that! Personnel are very helpful and friendly. Try it, you’re bound to like it!
Staying at the Sole Inn for our anniversary weekend. Great service. Nice rooms and within walking distance to everything in downtown Pensacola. Gallery night was just a few blocks away an the Market on Palafox sets up right in front of the property.
I LOVED this hotel! All of the staff was so friendly and helpful! The whole place has an art deco vibe. We stayed four nights and we will definitely be back! Sole’ is a short drive to Pensacola beach and about a 45 minutes drive to gorgeous Navarre beach. Sole’ is with in walking distance of all of old town Pensacola. Many wonderful places to eat in old town. Our favorite place to eat was the Fish-house just off of Main Street.
Finding the Sole Inn was a lucky accident. I was in Pensacola on business and needed to spend the night. I've never visited Pensacola and wanted to stay downtown. Unfortunately, [sorry, not sorry] my Bonvoy and IHG options were sold out. Quick research found this property. Built in the 50s, this motel has all the charm of that era. But, with updated amenities and service. I was able to walk to the Fish House and downtown shopping. Room was impeccably cared for. Front desk service couldn't have been friendlier. It is a 1950s size room and shower. But that added to the experience. I highly recommend this property!
This was not our first stay at Sole Inn. We have met other couples there and recommended it to people. Our first visit after being vaccinated was uniformly bad. The lack of light in the room was the worst_- we only had 2 dim bulbs to light an entire room. We could not see inside our suitcase or train case. Thank goodness we had a flashlight in the car. We called the desk for help but were told they had no stronger light bulbs. We could see that other rooms had at least 3 lamps. There were at least 5 or 6 other things that were just unacceptable. I am convinced that we had the worst room in the building. I have recommended Sole Inn to many people- never again!
What a good find! Convenient location to explore historic downtown. Walkable to several restaurants and bars. I really appreciate the people who have the foresight to buy these older properties and retrofit the rooms for today’s standards. Yes, it is a small room and bathroom, but well laid out so it’s not uncomfortable. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had been redone. Nice glass sink and a pretty tiled shower. Friendly help at the front desk.
We love Sole Inn and Suites. The location is fabulous for enjoying beautiful downtown Pensacola. It is in walking distance to many things. It’s just a quick drive over to the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Pensacola Beach. The staff at Sole is wonderful - so friendly. I love the Blue Angels and have seen them fly right over the hotel a time or two, and it is an easy drive to the Naval Air Museum. We have gone to see the Blue Angels practice in the past. It’s just a fun experience in beautiful Pensacola!
Sole is so convenient and cool! We walked to all the resturants downtown. The room was very clean and had a great bed. The staff treated us like family. Loved the courtyard for just hanging out and getting the downtown vibe. We will be back!
