Hotel was overbooked, called us in the afternoon to explain the situation. They have found a sister company that could accommodate us. It was on the other side of Pensacola. I specifically asked the manager if the room would be just like what we booked with them and he said yes. At the end of the conversation I made sure it has two beds AND a pull out couch. He said yes. He was on speaker and several other people in my party heard him. We get to the sister company and we were not given the same room. We are a party of 7 (one baby), and we got two beds. Two of us, plus myself, had to sleep on the floor. The sister company blamed Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn blamed the sister company. I used to work in the hotel industry and I have had to redirect several reservations due to overbooked rooms. I made sure the reservations I was moving had the correct accommodations and enough beds for all parties to avoid things like this. After driving for 16 hrs to get to a room that does not have enough space to sleep, is not fun and really inconsiderate. The sister company did offer another room for the 3 that had no bed, but only at the rate of $252 extra. …
Do not book this hotel! After they overbooked me, they swore that they would transfer me to an "equivalent" sister property but it was ANYTHING but! My original booking was for a suite that slept 6, and new hotel room only slept 4. 2 of my family members were forced to sleep on a floor. My original booking also had a pool and the new hotel did not. I immediately complained but IHG blamed BW and BW blamed IHG. The Holiday Inn Express Pensacola West clearly lied and their only solution was to charge me an extra $253 for an additional room at 10pm! I just need them to make this right, since I was refused a refund of $231.87 after this nightmare experience.
We have had the nicest staff, especially at breakfast, Sonny and Natasha! We can tell that they take a lot of pride in their hotel and kept the area so nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the blackout shades worked amazingly well when we needed extra rest.
A huge shout out to Quena (i hope i spelled her name correctly) who went above and beyond to make our stay a comfortable one! 🙌🙌The only thing i found quite odd was when using the phone in the room and pressing the key marked “front desk” it just continually gave you a busy signal so i had to use my cellphone just to call the front desk i am staying in🙄😳. We were assigned one room—heater/ac unit would not work so i tried the phone not only in the first room but then again in the room Quena immediately moved us to and same thing happened. Other than that all was well.
One week and never a problem. The hotel is clean and convenient to NAS Pensacola. Customer service was superb. The clerk that checked me in, Shannon, was super friendly and helpful. Saw her several time throughout my stay and she made it seem like I was coming home. This is definitely where I will stay for future visits to the Pensacola area. What a time. What a find.
Checked in July 24 and the front desk clerk has the worst attitude i have ever seen. Its like she shows that she doesn't want to work there. Doesn't greet you if you go to the snack bar i waited almost 5 minutes to pay while she talked on her cell phone. I travel a great amount and I will not ever stay there again. And I won't recommend this place to anyone until she is gone.
Just spent one night, didn't have reservations but had no problem checking in. Keisha was on the desk and was very helpful, got me a really nice comfortable room. Will definitely stay here again if the need arises.
Superb customer service and had a very relaxing stay. Staff are very friendly and exceeded my expectations in terms of customer service and satisfaction. Breakfast buffet was included in the room price and gad a very good selection of food and drinks. Highly recommended!
We stayed out of town on work and this was one of the closer hotels to our job. From the way we came in, it was a bit odd to get into the back side of the hotel but that wasn't an issue. Big, super clean room. Breakfast the next morning was great and had a big assortment- they had little to go bags that made taking it with us easy. Lady checking us out in the morning was super nice, as was the lady who helped us book the room over the phone that first day. Only reason this was given four stars is because we were woken up between 1:00 to 1:30 AM by someone blasting their bass outside in a car parked nearby and then a bunch of loud people in the hallway yelling and slamming their room doors for quite some time..Made getting back to sleep difficult with a 4+ hour drive back later on that day. Otherwise though, hopefully this was just some unlucky evening for us, because the hotel is nice and the service was friendly/helpful too.…
This hotel is AMAZING! I never write reviews but I feel like I have to for this hotel because it truly exceeded my expectations. I was visiting my boyfriend who is in the Navy and the staff helped him set up the room with rose petals, candle light and swans made from the towels. They surprised me and even got it on video it was a wonderful surprise and it made it even better that the staff was so helpful. The breakfast is delicious such variety and actually very delicious, the woman who runs the breakfast is also very sweet and helpful and gives out to go muffins! The room was clean and spacious and the pool was also very nice! I will definitely be staying here again.
