Room never serviced during our three night stay. I finally just left used towels out in hallway and requested new ones. I also had to wait over ten minutes in lobby for a staff member to retrieve more toilet paper — there was no extra provided in our bathroom. Breakfast was great, however!
Clean, efficient and a great hot breakfast! Highly recommend this property if staying in Pensacola. Very easy to get to the airport from here, close to everything that you will need! Did I mention the great hot breakfast?
Too many people hanging in the lobby. I checked in at 230 there was a man sitting in the lobby. That same man was still just sitting there at 10pm. When we asked the reception they stated as long as he is not causing any problems it was fine. I then headed to my room at 11pm and another man got on the elevator behind me, did not press a floor and got off my same floor. As I headed down the hall where my room was at the end of the hall he was proceeding slowly behind me. I text my sister to call me ASAP which she did I started talking loud saying I am coming I am almost at the door. He then turned around, I watched in the peep hole and he did not come back that way so obviously no room there. Lastly the hotel has to improve the facility, nice on the outside the inside and rooms smell moldy, We find it hard the hotel stays full the rooms can use dusting and anything to get rid of the stagnant odor. Really expect more from this BRAND. Summer is here so there is a lot of work to be done. …
Water pressure in the shower was VERY low and it took awhile for the water to become warm even when the handle was turned to the HOT water indicator. There was no microwave in the room and when I turned in my towels (2), I only received one (1) back and I had to go to the front desk for that towel.
They do not clean your rooms if you are staying for an extended amount of time. Nice and pretty hotel but no cleaning. They asked if we would just put our trash and dishes (if we ate in the room) outside our door on the floor. So there was trash in the hallway. Breakfast was good but no variety. The same thing every day.
Rooms are out dated and dirty but the staff is amazing. They have a bar and a few options for food. There are other hotels in the area just 5 min away. . You can check out residence inn by Marriott just around the corner
The reception staff at the Hyatt was pleasant and efficient, the room clean, the bedroom and bathroom well fitted out, and the room had a good desk and comfortable sofa. I believe there was only one waste paper basket in the bathroom. Another one by the desk or bed would be convenient. The bath towels are on metal shelves at the back of the shower - so right at hand before you step out of the shower. There are good options for the buffet breakfast, and I used the smaller plate from underneath the counter - it is definitely diet size! A staff later pointed out to me there were full size plates.......
We have stayed at this property several times as our son attends Pensacola State College, which is located directly across the street. The rooms are neat and clean, staff friendly, and breakfast and bar area welcoming, and the hotel is Pet friendly. The breakfast is also a plus with plenty of food and drink options to choose from.
The hotel is dated and some items in the room needed fixing/conditioning/renovating). This hotels website and mobile app lists it as pet friendly but does not list the non-refundable pet deposit ($15), pet fee ($75), and taxes which totaled just under $100. This hotel accommodated my 5 year old golden retriever and has grassy areas and sidewalks around the hotel to walk the dog but watch out for the burrs which my pet picked up in his paws 5 times and I’m still hurting a week later from one I pulled from my pets paws. This hotel is listed as a category 2 (8000 pts) from a Hyatt Rewards points perspective but should be a category 1 (5000 pts). Overall the stay did the what it needed to do for an overnight stay while traveling with a pet from north Texas to Southern Florida.
From the hallway to the elevator to the room and bathroom, the hotel was not clean. Housekeeping is not a priority at this hotel. The bed surprisingly slept well and the breakfast was good, but it was hard to appreciate that in such a filthy environment.
