Even at a discounted price this Best Western hotel was a little pricey. It’s not a luxury hotel but it was well above average. For the facilities and the level of service it seemed well above average, but we’re those extras really worth the extra $50 to $75? The location was awkward to get to, but I would put this hotel as the highest ranking of all the stops on our vacation. The service was kind, professional and courteous, the bed was relaxing and comfortable. And don’t even let me get started about the breakfast! It was one of the best I’ve had - well stocked and hot with a great selection. The automatic coffee machine offered cappuccino, coffee, and hot cocoa and even decaf versions of the same. The cleanliness and level of professional service made this the height of our stay. In fact, we had only booked one night and decided to stay two nights!

The rooms were exactly as pictured, which is NOT exactly common especially in chain-type hotels! The room was SPOTLESS, which I was very impressed with! There was not a single speck of dust to be found at all. The hotel itself was kept very well and the staff was absolutely wonderful. They were all super kind and very friendly and helpful. Sherri from housekeeping was the most amazing ever and took the most absolute pride ever in caring for our room, and even arranged all of my daughter's stuffed animals on the bed and arranged our shoes nicely on the floor. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Everything about this stay was fantastic. I had my reservation cancelled at another property and was very upset. From the first call to the hotel I immediately felt relaxed. The front desk agent was genuinely sympathetic and kind. She explained my options and answered questions such as available AAA rate etc.
When I settled into my room I noticed that it was clean, organized and comfortable. Every interaction with every team member made me feel welcome. Every time I went for breakfast the place clean. All food items tasted good, was appropriate temperature and tasted fresh. Menu was always posted so I knew what to look forward to the next day.
The bed was luxurious and I was pleasantly surprised that after the 3rd night the bed linens still smelled fresh and just laundered. It was clear that they were newer. Bathroom was clean and well appointed with a blow dryer and plenty of towels. Water was hot and pressure good. I don’t usually do this but found I told every housekeeper, attendant and agent I came across how much I was enjoying my stay.
If you can’t tell, I highly recommend this wonderful and conveniently located property and most definitely will be booking here the next time here.

The room was clean but the ac filter in the room & hallway was filthy! The room had a strong musty smell. They were still doing brown bag take & go breakfast which was yuck. All the other hotels we stayed in while here had returned to the full breakfast with gloves & masks required to self serve. It makes no sense to me for no employee at this hotel to wear or require customers to wear a mask then do the take & go breakfast. I think its to save owners money while still charging a premium price!

The other hotel the original reservation was at was overbooked. The manager from the other hotel promised us the exact same room and accommodations. The manager was on speaker, and at the end of the conversation I specifically asked him what exactly the hotel room has to offer. He said two double beds AND a pull out couch. Perfect. We get to the hotel, after driving for 16 hrs, and check in. There are 7 (one baby) of us. We all check in at once, meaning, we all walk in together, and go to our room. We had a double bed but no pull out couch. At this point all we wanted to do was shower the 5 children who have been stuck in a car for 16 hrs, and feed them. During this time, I went downstairs to ask about the room we were supposed to get. Was told they knew nothing about that and that is the room the other manager called and said we was to get. I was confused as I know for a fact you can not have 7 people in a 2 bed room. My friend went back down and tried to explain the situation. Finally about 10 pm we were offered another room for $252. Two people, including myself, slept on the floor. This is not acceptable. I did ask for extra pillows and blankets, but only could get 3 pillows and two blankets extra. Do you know what that means? That means I had to put a SHEET on the floor, and then use the extra blanket for myself and the other person the same. Sleeping on the floor of a hotel room is NOT what I envisioned for my first time in Florida. One of my children had to sleep in a chair, sitting up because he had no where to sleep, as my other child was sleeping on the floor too. I offered to let him sleep on the floor and I sleep on the chair; however, he told me he wanted me to get more sleep since he knew how tired I was. No child should ever have to sacrifice his own sleep.

Again, we apologize you found your stay unsatisfactory. Our team did their best to accommodate your family of 7 to which you declined. 7 guests is 1 guest more than the max occupancy for a double suite at either hotel and you would have needed to book 2 rooms to accommodate the number in your party. We appreciate the numerous reviews you have left as this helps us better our hotel for future guests.

We planned a family vacation back in February. We were quoted a very reasonable rate of $707.47 for 5 nights (average $141.49). We had a family emergency and had to adjust the dates. Added a Thursday night and took a couple days off the end. We were not given a price on the Thursday night, didn't really think about it at the time. When we checked out, we discovered they charged us $312.77 (tax included) for the Thursday mid-week night. I will acknowledge we should have gotten this information, but regardless, this is an outrageous amount for what it was.

Thank you for your feedback Philip. Again, I apologize if we did not exceed your expectations while staying with us. I looked at your reservation and can see the modifications you mentioned. Our rates change continuously between February, when you originally booked, and mid June, when you modified your dates. Altering or modifying the dates can cause the rate to increase depending on the date. The registration card signed at check-in reflects those increases. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with an exceptional hotel stay! Thank you and safe travels!

We were previously booked at a different hotel, which when arriving (after 7 hr drive) desk clerk said they had no hot water and would not for days. We then went to another hotel (same chain). After seeing the parking lot and entryway and sign saying “be back in 30”—we went next door to this hotel and could not have been happier. The desk receptionist was wonderful. She was friendly, helpful, caring and interested in where we were from etc. We were so happy they had a room for us and were even able to give us something near the entrance as mobility is a challenge. After almost staying at the other location we were thrilled to walk into a beautiful clean room. Our two night stay was great, breakfast is always so nice at Best Westerns and this one didn’t disappoint. Yes, we did pay more than we had hoped but having sandwiches in the car and skipping a couple of restaurant visits was well worth the comfort and safety we had here. Lesson learned— you get what you pay for and in this case paying more was so worth it!

We needed two rooms and this was the o KU place available around. Must be a busy area. They were accommodated us. The staff was very friendly. Never seemed annoyed with anyone asking for the sacked breakfast (buffet was down for pandemic). Sacked breakfast was okay. Otis Spunkmeyer muffin, granola bar, and yogurt, with coffee and juice available at all times. Coffee was good. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Clean beds and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The only complaint I would have is the noise from above us. It sounded as though kids were running sprints up there between 2300-2400. Hotel is a nice distance from NAS Main Gate. About 15-20 minutes with much in between. We were able to grab picnic stuff at the local Walmart before heading on base to visit our Sailor. If you’re a Navy family you may like this location, but may prefer a shorter drive. We didn’t mind the 15 minutes.

This hotel advertised “pet friendly” as of October 31 on the Trip Advisor booking tool. As of Nov 1 it has evidently been corrected. As I am preparing to write a letter to corporate Best Western, I was going to take a screen shot to include. I arrived last night to check in after booking through Trip Advisor - with a 10 lb dog - and was advised at the conclusion of checking in that “ no pets were allowed”. I showed the front desk agent - Patty- my cell phone where it indicated the hotel was pet friendly ( she read it and acknowledged)and I asked to speak to a Supervisor, and was immediately informed there wasn’t one. I asked to speak to the owner and she advised me “ I am not allowed to call the owner”. At that point in time Patty lost her cool and told me she didn’t care about my situation as she had no power to correct it. She stated she is 63 years old and needs to retire as she hates her job, hates the public because everyone is mean and nasty and rude, stated I was very rude ( as I’m frustrated yes, trying to help her understand that you can’t publish something and in good faith expect a customer to complacently walk away without gaining some type of assistance or understanding of how this happened) and proceeded to let me know that she didn’t care if I complained and tried to get her fired as she would welcome that. Her rant was embarrassing to me, to other guests who passed by and heard her, but most importantly should be of concern to you. It was absolutely outrageous and appalling. I have worked in the airline industry for 40 years - the past 11 years as Director of Customer Service Training for a major airline. My brand would be so terribly compromised if I allowed my crew members to behave in this manner to our valued customers and I believe yours will eventually suffer if she is allowed to continue serving your customers without additional guidance, training or support. Frustrating to feel powerless to help a customer doesn’t warrant this behavior. An apology and assistance to find another room or provide guidance would have been appreciated. What is even more distressing to me is you carry the name of the Blue Angels - and to someone who has personal connections to Naval Aviators - well, that makes it all the worse. My question to you - how does this happen and why was your front desk support so inclined to dismiss the situation by attacking your guest? What will you do to let your front desk know that this guest was, At one point in time, extremely disturbed by her behavior and felt threatened? Contrary to Patty’s wish, My intent is not to “ get her fired”. Even though her erratic behavior led her at one point to say “ go ahead try, I don’t care about this job or this hotel”. Regards, LeeAnn Russell

I think this discussion is going far afield. Sticking to the point, if the hotel has had no hand in publishing 'pet friendly' or 'pet hostile' information on the web, I do not see how they can be held accountable. On the other hand, a 10 lb. dog.... perhaps could have been overlooked in the interest of customer service and comfort. I guess we should all take a step back and perhaps TripAdvisor should get written confirmation from the hotel for everything that it publishes. I have had instances where this was not done
