We stayed in the Lookout Cabin and it was just fine... The shower was a tad bit small but I used the outdoor shower the rest of my visit.. it was big and I just really took to taking showers outside... I have become quite a fan! anyways... the bed was acceptable, nothing plush, there were two big stuffed chairs...

My husband had reserved a cabin at the Old Salt Works for our wedding anniversary/my 40th birthday/the honeymoon we never had. I love the beaches on the Cape and had stayed in some other cabins that were nearby many years ago so I was quite excited for the trip. I was also thrilled that pets were allowed which meant I...

The place was run down. There were bedbugs, cockroaches (yes inside the cabin), the furniture was very old -- like from the 1960's and looked like it had never been cleaned. The kitchen had ants. There were cigarette burns on just about every thing even though this was supposed be a non-smoking room AND the room smelled smoky. The floors...

My wife and i were given a choice to get actual presents from her parents or we could choose to come down here and enjoy a week on the bay with the family. We chose to come down to the Old Salt Works Cabins. I was nervous about our stay due to me reading the reviews prior to us leaving...

This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and it was for a week of searching for a place to rent for a month in March. We stayed in the Guest House on the bay and had one of the greatest, most relaxing vacations that we have ever had. We fell in love with the Old Saltworks and thought...

They cabins are simple, rustic & basic, but with all we needed for a 3 night stay. The property is in need of some general upkeep, broken plastic chairs on porches, the boardwalks to the salt pond are a bit of a mess, the outdoor shower filled with previous guests soap, razors, stuff. It has amazing potential and when first constructed must...

Just returned from Cape San Blas where we lodged at the Old Saltworks Cabins. we stayed in the South Cabin which is badly in need of repairs. The Kitchen sink drains to the outside which shocked us and the shower spills over on to the floor which has lead to water soaked floors and tons of Carpentar Ants that love...

I made our reservations over the phone. I found the cabins on the internet.. I then saw some of the negative rating the saltworks had recieved and almost backed out. I'm so glad we didn't listen to those people. They must not know what staying in cabins is all about. PRIVACY......RUSTIC........NOT FANCY........... We stayed in the north cabin. We arrived...

We stayed at the guest house for 4 days, summer before last. Being somewhat of a thrifty traveler I have stayed in cabins and campgrounds all over the US. This was by far the most beautiful place and well equipped for our every basic need. There were kayaks (3) that we used free of charge. We ate fresh scallops that...

My wife and I stayed in the Lee Cabin, with great views of both the bay and the salt pond. The Lee features a gas fireplace and a gazebo overlooking the historic salt pond. From our million dollar view accommodations we day tripped to Appalachicola, St George Island, Wakulla Springs, and St Joseph Penninsula State Park. If you are not...
