The Hotel was being renovated during my stay so I'm sure it will be even better very soon. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and in the restaurant. Large, quiet rooms; ours had a nice view of the beautiful pool with a waterfall feature. Very easy to get on and off of the main highway so a great location for anywhere around Pt. St. Lucie. The best part of our stay was Gatwicks restaurant right inside the Holiday Inn. Breakfast was included in our Hotel price and it was a very good, large hot breakfast - anything on their breakfast menu, instead of the usual buffett grab and go hotel breakfast. I hope they don't remodel Gatwicks because it has nice old fashioned wood and glass decorated cozy booths that made our breakfast even more enjoyable. The waitress was great and very friendly and great conversation, helpful and knowledgable about the menu, hotel, and the local area. This place is a dump. In hindsight, I should have known when I stepped off the elevator and was greeted by the scent of stale cigarette smoke. The dimly-lit room smelled like a combination of mildew and feet, the furniture and carpet were badly worn, and nothing seemed to have been updated or vacuumed since 1989. Shower fixtures and the top of the mini-fridge were covered in rust. Originally booked to stay four nights, I checked out after only one, What makes it even more disgusting is that I paid $300+ for the privilege of wallowing in this squalor. I can’t believe Holiday Inn lets their name be associated with this nasty hole.

Room smells of mildew. The carpet in the room is damp. Asked for a micro wave 1 hour still hasn't arrived. Very dirty. Very old and dated. Location was convenient, they don't let you know that they are renovating in advance or on the web site.

Lobby was clean but the carpet in our room was all wet, the room smelled like mildew and bathroom was run down. Decent price but lots of updating needed.pool was nice and clean. Fitness center was closed for renovations. Pool was clean.

Place is under construction. Don't think we were informed of that when we booked. Was told we might have to wait a while for hot water. Furniture is all scuffed up. Our TV stand doors wouldn't even close nor would the top drawer. So just imagine being half asleep and taking your knee out. Room seemed clean although very outdated with mismatched fittings. Floor was like sticky/damp feeling??? Lobby is super small(one couch and loveseat) so no place for a group to hang out. They do have a nice pool with water fountain rock feature and there is a restaurant on site. Have no clue about the restaurant though, sorry. I hope your a late sleeper because there is no coffee /newspaper either. Restaurant doest open till 6³⁰. I kinda had to complain and then was given free breakfast voucher. Happy travels!…

The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. They passed out Easter eggs to the children on Easter morning. However, the hotel is about 10 years past updating. The carpet in our room was heavily stained and wet, rusting door knobs and appliances, the AC was very noisy, mold in the shower and we ended up waking up in the middle of the night to a waterfall pouring through the shower light in the bathroom. I found an open electrical box partially closed by tin foil(interesting choice). We have little children so safety is a big concern of ours. Needless to say, we're very disappointed in this holiday inn location.

Stayed with my wife and was IHG member. Poor conditions exist. Never recognized as IHG member over two night stay. One elevator out of order; pool open but jacuzzi, though running, was off limits per front desk. Pool had 5 chairs, 2 tables and multiple debris IN the pool. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. all poor, cheap quality. Employees not trained to be service centric. Poor attitudes. I’m a retired credit Union executive of 40 years; I know what good treatment should look like. It doesn’t exist at this hotel. Because of this, I’m cutting up my IHG credit card and dissolving my IHG membership since (after request), never received a call back to discuss the current environment at this location. Why would anyone stay at this hotel?

The only reason I gave this a 2 instead of a one is because the beds are super comfy and the staff is very, very nice. BUT the hotel overall DEFINITELY needs the renovation they are currently doing. I’m sure once it’s finished this will be worth the $250+ a night they are charging. During the reno this is easily a 2 star property that should be lowering their rates to the nearby motel 6/red roof rates. The carpet in our room was so dirty I had to wear shoes to walk from the bed to the bathroom. The shower was filthy and didn’t even work. Ended up having to take a bath instead of a shower bc the shower tab wouldn’t pull up. The popcorn ceilings held in any and all odor so it smelled musty in the room. The pool was closed but I’m sure will be beautiful once it’s finished. However, it was right outside our 2nd floor room and the workers started working on it at 7a-no sleeping in at all for us. Again, the hotel did tell us they were renovating but to still charge almost $300 a night is borderline price gauging. We ended up cutting our 5 nights to 2 and booked it down to the Keys. We've stayed at dozens of Holiday Inn properties around the world, so the brand has always seemed like a safe choice for us. The Port St. Lucie property changed our impression, primarily because it is in dire need of updating. They're in the process right now, but they should have done this decades ago. Our room was very dark--adding insult to injury, one of the primary lamps was inoperative--and the furnishings were very old and heavily worn. Additionally, the hotel staff was very stingy with the toiletries they provided. When we checked in, our room had one tiny bar of soap and a single one-ounce tube of shampoo. Finally, the restaurant opens too late to be of use for guests who have early working-hour meetings or early travel. At the very least, the restaurant should open at 6:00 AM instead of 7:00 AM. That said, the people who worked the front desk when we checked in were kind, friendly, helpful, and professional. I will be much more wary of Holiday Inn's trustworthiness in my future travels.…
