I have been staying at the Royal Inn once or twice a year for 5 years now, but I doubt I will be going back. I always had to defend to my friends why I would stay there, and said it was not fancy but the lakeside suites were clean and very cheap compared to the only horse show alternative,... More

Stayed for 1 night on a short trip to visit the Wellington Equestrian Festival. It is by far the most affordable location within a reasonable distance of the equestrian park. Staff was very helpful and room was big and clean so no complaints there. There were very little restaurants/shops within walking distance other than KFC and a few rundown looking... More

We stayed for three nights in February '16 in a studio room poolside that was worn and a little tired with frayed and stained carpet. The room, however, was very clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. They have a very nice pool area and we were wishing it was warm enough to enjoy it more. The front desk personnel... After driving from Canada to Florida, we stayed in some pretty seedy places. Compared to those, it was an oasis. The room and bed was clean and the bathroom was big. The pool was excellent. We used it despite the temperature. Not much wrong. As previously stated, all it needs is a slight makeover. Otherwise, quite happy with our stay.

We stayed five nights at the Royal Inn between Christmas and New Years. We were visiting Wellington and the Winter Equestrian Festival and were looking for a more inexpensive place to stay as all of the hotels in the area are expensive at festival time. The Royal Inn has many different types of rooms from basic to deluxe 'suites' with... More

We needed a hotel in Wellington close to the Equestrian Center. Only choices are the Hampton in at $250 per night or the Royal Inn at $95.00 per night. We did not plan on being in our room a whole lot other than to sleep so we thought we would try the Royal Inn. The property it very large and... More

Not sure what people are complaining about. This is not the Ritz-Carlton, and they don't charge those prices either. My sister & I stayed here, which is extremely close to the arena & fair grounds, for the Brad Paisley concert. We were upgraded to a lakeside suite for free, so can't say what the other rooms are like. Ours was... More

The Royal Inn is a basic hotel. It is clean and had a nice pool, close to restaurants and some small shops. This hotel is a good choice for travellers passing through. The room was big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child, age 10. We had a good stay. The price was good ($123 for 2 nights including... More
