Love, love, love this little resort! After reading the reviews I contacted Jonathan about spending the weekend at Pirates Pointe. I was arriving late on Friday. Jonathan was very accommodating and self check in was perfect. I had an efficiency, the place was spotlessly clean and perfect for my needs. Saturday morning I took a walk to actually see where...

My husband and I just spent four nights at this hidden cottage-style resort. It is small, exceptionally quiet, and proved just right for a couple's getaway. Jonathan and Lynn are personable and professional. Our one-bedroom cottage was neat, clean and fully stocked. This is a great place for boaters that offers dock space, canoes, and fishing charters. There is even...

Spent our 41st anniversary at Pirates Pointe Resort and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds. The fishing was fantastic and the owner Jonathan couldn't have been a better host.

I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. I just got home from a 4 day stay there and was very impressed how well it was maintained. Clean rooms, very nice landscaping and all the comforts of home. The kitchen was great, all the cooking utensils, dishwasher, refrigerator, garbage disposal, toaster, coffee maker etc. we had a two bedroom for...

Finally used a Living Social coupon for a short getaway to Pirates Point. Stayed in a studio with a queen bed,two recliners, TV and a nice little kitchen. One thing impressed me---it was VERY clean. I am a bit of a germaphobe and the kitchen, bath, and floor were clean. It is tucked back in a residential neighborhood and not...

Two nights spent at a cozy getaway in Ruskin FL. Had heard of Ruskin as a great place for seafood dining. That experience did not materialize but we did enjoy very clean and quiet cottage style accommodations. Everything needed was available.

Many years ago I used to fish the Little Manatee River and when I heard of this place I wanted visit, and when my girlfriend found a Groupon deal we jumped on it immediately. We arrived after hours to find the owner (Johnathan) made arrangements for a self check in. It was convenient and easy. The grounds are well maintained,...

I know, today everybody says "Floridian" but that's not how I was raised. If you're from Florida, you're a Floridan. That said, this place is great. The rooms are attractive, well air-conditioned, clean, newly renovated, and the foliage is lushly Florida. Most places like this have a few oaks and a couple acres of sandspurs, but there were no sandspurs,...

Nancy and I won a weekend at Pirate's Pointe through a silent auction bid. Say anything "pirate" and you've got our attention. However, even the most stalwart pirate might have been intimidated by parts of the neighborhood leading to the resort. "Did I just hear a banjo?" But what a pleasant surprise to drive onto the property, to be surrounded...

Never even knew this resort was in Ruskin. We live all of three miles away and frequently travel the area but the resort is tucked away in a quiet residential area not visible from the main road. Took advantage of a Living Social deal for my husband's birthday. Had a great stay - cottage was secluded, very clean, nicely furnished...
