If you're looking for a modern sleek hotel with the latest amenities this is not the place for you. However, if you want to stay in a place that makes you feel like you're part of old St. Augustine, this is the place. The original building was from 1791 and located near the oldest home in St. Augustine. It is in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of downtown.

The staff was so helpful and kind. The morning breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Drinks are available throughout the day, with a cocktail hour and dessert hour in the evening. While we could not attend the evening events, we had delicious desserts waiting for us when we returned.

We stayed in Margaret's Room which was a private king room with its own porch and outdoor patio area. It was quiet, and the landscape was truly old Florida with Spanish Moss and lots of small lizards scurrying about. The small pool was lovely and intimate.

When we left, we felt like we were leaving friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

This was a great vacation. We stayed in the Garcia room on the third floor. It suited us very well. Its a two room suite. The staff was very accommodating. There were a few days where it rained and they set out umbrellas and rain ponchos for guests to use. Besides being very clean, there are a couple of things that are important to me in a B&B, one is an early breakfast and the other is great coffee. We were able to get both. We went in the pool, which was nice. We went to the beach a couple of times and we were able to park at the beach house and get towels and water, use the boogie boards and then shower when we were done. That was a great perk. The breakfast was good. Water and snacks are available. Location was perfect. Just a few blocks from the river front in one direction and the shops in another. Breakfast was served in a box, would have preferred a plate. But I'm sure that had to do with COVID.

Since COVID-19 cancelled all our international travel plans this year my husband and I were looking for a little getaway closer to home. St Augustine was somewhere we had never been so we said no time like the present. I did not initially book this B&B but after reading some reviews and having a TA recommend it I cancelled my other hotel and booked this. This tuned out to be a great decision. We booked the Courtyard Room for a good rate and got a sunset sail and 50 in GC for dinner at no charge. We loved being able to sit in the rocking chairs outside our room and have coffee in the mornings and appetizers and drinks at night . The hotel is over 200 years old so if you are looking for sleek and modern this isn’t the place for you. It is comfortable, spotless and very quaint . The location is fantastic and very easy to walk to the main tourist areas and it is super close to the oldest house trolley stop. Parking was off street and free. The homemade hot breakfast was different each day and delicious. They had us pick breakfast time at Check-in and there was plenty of room for social
Distancing . They offered happy hour snacks and drinks each night and packaged up desserts for each room to take with us. Very nice touch!

The staff was super nice and always there if you needed anything. If I could change one thing it would be the bathroom. It was very small ( which I knew when I booked it) and being someone that has a large walk-in shower at home stepping in and out of a claw foot tub wasn’t something I am used to. Regardless we had a fantastic time and would stay here again.

The best word to describe this B & B is thoughtful. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave everything and everyone is just exceptional. Everything is clean and they take several precautions when it comes to covid. The inn is very charming but very updated. Upon check we were given a baked treat which came in handy to go with the small bottle of champagne that was left in the room for my birthday. We were personally shown to our room and given a very good tour of the grounds. They have a small swimming pool that is heated and their own parking which is such a convenient thing. We stayed in the Garden Hideaway room. It's a good size room with a king size bed which was very comfortable with a separate shower and a whirlpool tub which was amazing. They provide every toiletry you can think of so that was a plus. Breakfast was also very good. I've been wanting to stay here for a couple of years especially on Halloween night (it's known to have things that go bump in the night) and it was well worth the wait. I'll definitely be back.

This was our second "haunted" bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved our stay! The inn itself was old, but it is one of the oldest inns in the area. The level of service was beyond what we expected, it was like a service of a luxury resort, but in a small historic laid-back town. Breakfast was included with mimosas, there was a social hour with complimentary local beer and wine, baked desserts to take to our room, and smores by the fire. The thing that really impressed us was the complimentary cream sherry! This was supposedly the oldest inn in St. Augustine. We stayed in Lily's Room, hoping to experience a visit from the slain servant or her lover, the nephew of the inn's owner. Again, no spirits but we definitely enjoyed the complimentary mimosas for breakfast, late afternoon beer and wine, and cream sherry before bed in addition to freshly bakes desserts and smores by the fire.
Oh, and we also found an Ouija board in the sitting area.
There was ample parking even when the inn was full. The parking space is across a narrow street. The inn was a few blocks from the busy pedestrian section of St. George's street but is about 0.2 mi from a brewery and a few restaurants. We were able to walk to points of interest but enjoy the quiet neighborhood at night.
The staff also made sure that everyone abides by COVID-19 rules and even offered complimentary masks and hand sanitizers (from St. Augustine Distillery)

The experience was not as good as my first time. Kitchen staff seemed put out when asked for Keto, even though, it was discussed when I booked the room. We asked for silverware for one guest who stayed in for breakfast, and was told there's silverware in the cottage. I had just cleaned up the dishes in the cottage and didn't want to wash anything else. For the price, I think one set of silverware in a cloth napkin wasn't much to ask for. The gardener was the friendliest person we met. Most of the staff seemed overwhelmed.
Otherwise it was good.
Thank you

We are sorry that your second visit to our Inn was not as good as the first time. We shared a copy of your review with the team members working in the kitchen and at the front desk on the dates of your visit. Thank you for informing us prior to your arrival that you are on the Keto diet. We were prepared for you. Our cook made special desserts for you for both nights and cooked plain eggs for you for breakfast on your first morning as requested. You had no special requests for your second morning's breakfast. Informing you that you could find silverware in the Cottage, was simply a team member letting you know it was available in your accommodation. Some guests do not realize that they have a fully stocked kitchen in that unit. We appreciate all of our repeat guests, as you saw by the significant discount you were given for mentioning that you are a repeat guest when booking. All of our direct guest service team members are busy, but they understand they are here to serve our guests. You are correct in noticing that at times the staff is stressed (or "overwhelmed") due to our team's commitment to operating a safe and healthy environment in the middle of a pandemic! Thank you for the complimenting our gardener. She's great, but for the most part (other than wearing a mask) her job at the inn is not impacted by the pandemic , therefore, she has more time and flexibility to chat and interact with the guests. Step through the garden gates on the quaint, quiet, and aged road to be transported to a realaxing oasis, full of old Florida charm. The friendly staff will greet you and ensure all your needs are meet an exceed thru the duration of your stay. The Garcia suite is wonderfully furnished, the large hot tub styled bathtub shower combo, will relax and wash stress away. Then climb into the magnificent king sized bed, the soft sheets luxuriously cradled you to a restful sleep. readying you to greet the morning , ready to hit the breakfast room, there you will find , fresh baked breads, Seratas, wonderful Coffee, and drinks. Each night there is a specially prepared desert for your indulgence and a port to sip, St. Francis is so much more than I mentioned here. Definitely Book and make your special occasion, weekend get away one that will not be soon forgotten.

We stayed at the St. Francis for three nights. The innkeepers and staff are so incredibly welcoming! Be very sure when you book what floor your room is on - we were on the third floor and those stairs are steep. Our room (The Dummett Room) was beautifully decorated in greens and greys, and the whirlpool tub was a delight after a long, hot day of walking around. The breakfasts were so scrumptious, and I loved the evening desserts. We didn't get a chance to sample the pool, but it looked quite inviting. There are lots of great areas around the inn where you can simply sit and reflect on the history of the area.

My family of four loved our stay at the St. Francis Inn. We stayed on the second floor of the 1894 House which is located within quick walking distance of the main inn. The two bed/two bath apartment was perfect for our teen/tween to spread out and we really enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the balcony. The staff at the inn were all very helpful and friendly. They are making the best of the Covid-19 situation and we felt very safe during our stay. Breakfast, happy hour and dessert each day was a real treat! We highly recommend the St. Francis Inn and hope that we will be able to return one day.

This was our first time staying at a B&B and St Francis Inn was an EXCELLENT choice. Its a very unique place with lots of history. Very cozy outdoor garden and pool area to take advantage of for morning coffee, breakfast, evening social hour and evening dessert. Great breakfasts, social hour goodies and their delicious evening desserts. Their location is within easy walking distance of the main historic district for exploring, sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as very informative pointing out key historic sites and good local restaurants. We would highly recommend staying at St Francis Inn.
