I really wanted to LOVE this place. It has tremendous potential. The property is more than 160 years old. It has an a very interesting history that could easily be included in the decor and would add interest to the property. It has a lovely courtyard. The room was ok. The furnishings were antique and interesting. The curtains and swag...

Our experience was fantastic. Bruce is a gracious and hospitable host, the inn is in a wonderful location, and I found the accommodations to be in great condition when you consider how old the property is. I fail to understand why other reviewers booked their stays at a centuries-old historic inn if they were expecting five-star hotel-style modern amenities. Breakfast...

To keep it short and sweet here is a quick synopsis of our experience at Castle Garden B&B: The good: 1. The bed was comfortable 2. Wi-Fi coverage was good 3. Bruce the innkeeper was a nice 4. Good location The bad: 1. The place is very rundown and in a quasi-state of neglect (visible telephone cables, dust on the...

This B&B could be described at best as "quirky". The location is fantastic, the history of the Inn fascinating but the facility needs some updating and the service left something to be desired. Our host was not present when we arrived. We had to wait at least 30 minutes after reaching him on the phone. He had been told our...

Delightful historic Carriage House. Could use a bit of upgrade here and there but still a great place. Quiet and restful. Great owners. Would stay here again. Simple breakfast with good conversation. Could have coffee out earlier for early risers.

Our B&B room was small, but nice. The bed was very comfortable and slept well. The bathroom wasn't well lighted, but the jacuzzi tub was fantastic! We enjoyed our visit with Bruce, who was very friendly and a great sense of humor. His Mom, Joy, made our coffee and I thought it was the best I'd ever had, Really!! Bruce...

Stayed for one night on trip north from Key West. Our room was very small on the second floor. Best was only accessible from one side. Mattress and linens were poor. Bed creaked and headboard rocked every time we moved. Tv did not work. Pancakes for breakfast were great. Location was great.

Booked my room through the website (their website) tried to call back to change rooms, told that owner was not at the inn and would have to call me back. I called after no return call. Was advised that room I was wanting to change to was not available even though said still open on THEIR website. He said he...

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to St. Augustine and were glad that there was a room available for us at The Castle Garden. Bruce was so funny and cooked the best pancakes I have ever had. Bruce gave us some great suggestions on where to go in the area and everything was in walking distance. The...

My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to St. Augustine for our anniversary. This trip was very last minute so we basically had to just grab what B&B was available. I am so thankful that Castle Garden was available to accommodate us. The Inn is very quaint and reminds you of what old time St. Augustine must...
