So...I always try to have my expectations somewhat aligned with reality. I knew I was staying at a "motel" and probably not a newer place. And there was nothing terribly wrong here...just a lot that was not quite right. To start: The room was reserved through Orbitz and advertised as a smoking room. We were put in a non-smoking room.... Thank you for your review. We do not advertise smoking rooms through Orbitz. Your reservation was for NDD1 which is a Non-Smoking room with 2 full size beds. At check-in you received the exact room that you booked through Orbitz. Orbitz does not advertise smoking rooms for this property. Your misunderstanding is in that they offer smoking rooms and this... More

Yes, it's an old 50s motel, but it's A góod place for bargain Hunter's. The room was clean as a whistle, The bed was comfortable the a/c Blast cold air,and it was next door to good eats at jaybirds cafe. The owner and Diana were both Polite. Thank you for your review! Actually, it is a working fireplace! A delivery may have been nearby because UPS just left the lobby. Otherwise, we do not know of what clutter you are referring to. Not all tasks can be done immediately to every ones' discriminating taste and convience. Otherwise, the fireplace contains the normal required operational features as designed... More

Stay away from this hotel or what ever you want to call it. booked on same day as stay. Was supposed to be there three days. I left after first day because so bad. I tried to get my money back, but somewhere in the fine print they have a 24 hour cancel policy. Unless you pay cash by the... More

The hotel can not change the terms of your reservation and it is your responsibility to read the booking terms and conditions. Some reservations require a 24 hour advance notice of hour of check-in to cancel. Some reservations can not be cancelled at all because there are special terms and conditions/rates that apply. Some reservations require a valid and billable... More

The biggest mistakes I have made was booking a hotel that I had to prepay. We booked a two night stay at the Knights Inn in 2500 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd, St. Augustine, Florida, the hotel was in the historical downtown. I have never had this happen before. When we arrived at the hotel we was greeted by the... More

We question the validity of this review based upon the information given. The hotel is located in the Historic District but is not located downtown, nor do we advertise that we are located downtown. Quite the contrary in that our staff is trained to check in guests according to our check in policy. Any time a guest does not wish... More

The room was nice it had refrigerator and microwave in it and also king size bed. The water was not the best in the bathroom but it got fixed. The music from the bar across the street was loud at first then finally got quiet. The only problem was the money. It came out costing more then what was on... More

We do not ever charge more than a reservation calls for unless there is property damage such as smoking in a non-smoking room or theft of hotel property and/orproperty damage. The guest is liable for damages caused by themselves or their guests allowed by the guest to occupy a room or use the property. The next issue would be guest... More

Great location. Dated hotel. Pool there but closed until further renovations are done . No time frame for that! If they charged $20 / night more and put it into renovations , it really could be something.

Hotel is located in the Historic District which begins North of hotel at the Old Sugar Mills. We are located nearby downtown within a 2-3 minute drive. Many attractions begin just behind location on San Marco Avenue. Renovations are ongoing at this and many other hotels. This is an economy/budget motel with economical rates. We are not advertising a pool... More

This hotel is located in the northern part of the historic district. The hotel and most of the rooms have been renovated. The staff is friendly & courteous. It is a great location for the price as compared to nearby hotels in the area. This is not the same Knights Inn as the one located on SR 16. That place... More

This place is on ponce de leon blvd. Keep driving. Staff rude. Place should not be called a hotel! Is in serious need of renovations. The desk clerk made us wait while she checked the room before returning deposit. Just stay away. There are better much better places for minimal more money with nicer rooms.

Many hotels, not just this one check the rooms before returning deposits! This is a good business practice and helps lower shrinkage and damages to properties which in the end will result in higher rates. Things like towels, batteries, remote controls, ice buckets, ash trays comforters, blankets, televisions and room fixtures are common items taken as souvenirs without regard to... More

Price was very good, staff was polite, pool was clean and inviting, sheets, room were clean- it was a little run down ( carpet needed to be replaced ) - it was noisy and that would be my only complaint ( customers and traffic )-- it wasn't the Hilton- but for less than $60 what do you expect?

Not only was the staff rude as all get out. I woke up to German cockroaches all over my son. This place should be condemned Beds we're dirty. We asked to be moved to another room and that was pointless because that was even nastier than the first No thanks

Again, it is doubtful this person ever stayed at this location as we do not have a German Cockroach infestation in which anyone would be covered by roaches. If her son was covered by roaches then she should have been covered as well. Over all we find that most of these reviews are in relationship to staying at the other... More
