Clean, dated, good value. We spent more time exploring the island and surrounding area than in our room. The beach is just out the back door! Great location! The staff was friendly and helpful. We had extremely loud and obnoxious neighbors, the staff tried handling them but didn't help a lot. I feel they should have been evicted. It did...

Yes, The Buccaneer Inn is old and the rooms are dated. I didn't go to the Island to Visit a hotel. I went to enjoy the island. The hotel is there for you to sleep and shower if you can do that then you can enjoy the hotel and the sleep well at night. The beds were comfortable and the...

Let's face it, you're at the beach. But I would recommend not staying at the Buccaneer Inn. Very, very worn out, dirty, old and not taken care of but it is on the beach.Spend a bit more time and $ and go to Destin.

We stayed at the Buccaneer Inn for two days during Thanksgiving. We had a large room with a view of the gulf. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was very accommodating. The hotel is older but we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again...

Wife and I stayed over Thanksgiving for two nights. The folks working there are very nice. The hotel is run down and wore out. It is fairly clean though. Need a quarter for ice. The fridge makes a nice hum for sleep but no cold temps to keep your stuff cold. Didn't need the maids on day two as we...

Perfect location right on the beach. I selected a gulf beach view room. HUGE room complete with mini fridge and microwave. The closet could have served as a baby nursery it was so large. YES, it is old! For the price you can't beat it on St. George Island....especially if you want to just walk out onto the beach or...

We spent 3 great days at St George Island. Friendly staff, nice clean room, great pool and beach. The hotel is a little outdated, but its very clean, and for the price you can't ask for more. Don't forget the quarters if you want ice.

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at the Buccaneer Inn on St George Island. We were very happy with the location - right on the beach with great ocean breezes on our balcony. We had a nice size, clean room, comfy beds, great shower and very accommodating staff. We drove down from Atlanta, and when bad weather...

Great location. Old style beach hotel which was to be expected but it could use some updates to carpeting and such. Friendly housekeeping and overall, the place would deserve a higher review but we had one very serious problem. During our 3 day stay over the weekend from Friday to Sunday, there was absolutely no hot water. Though it was...

just about as good as it gets for affordable beach front hotels - some things about the place are funky but the room was clean, the pool was clean and the place was quite - you can walk to the area restaurants but take a drive to appalachacola for real dinning treats - love the panhandle
