Beautiful location, clean, and worth a visit. I went once in college and remembered it so fondly that I went back 7 years later. It's still a great place to camp out on the beach. Bathrooms are clean, you get plugs for electronics, and everything is great if you lock trash away. There are raccoons here.

I have camped here numerous times over the years. When we think of camping, Ft. De Soto automatically comes to mind! Many of the sites are on the water. It can be a bit windy at times, but you can't beat the size of the sites and and trees that provide shelter from the other sites. It is a popular...

The water is very close. You can go she'll hunting and swim in the water. So peaceful and relaxing. The cost isn't too bad. Have to be ready for some bugs but that is part of camping for you. Have to give this a try to appreciate it.

I live in Clearwater and camp here often. Beautiful grounds. Very nice bath/shower facilities. Around the corner from the best beach in the Tampa Bay area. Office staff is very friendly. After purchasing my first travel trailer last year, I have been looking for other campgrounds to check out. I have found no others that compare. Ft DeSoto is the...

The fort is interesting with cannons from the past., The gift shop has food and a wide variety of clothing for sale. We also enjoyed the white sandy beach. They have chairs and umbrella rentals if you need them. The bathrooms were clean and convenient.

This campground is wonderful. Already have reservations for our 2nd trip. Wonderful kayaking, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Clean bath houses. It's so nice that they separate the RVS and tents. We go to get away from our busy lives and don't want to hear tv, generators and air conditioners next to us. They also have a seperate pet friendly area....

This was a great place to camp w the kids!!! So much fun! Tent Campsites were freshly raked and clean. The restrooms appeared to be washed down regularly, and although nothing fancy, they were clean. There are tons of raccoons, so definitely keep all food in your car. The beaches were beautiful.

This was our first trip to Fort De Soto and let me tell you that pictures just do not do this place justice. It is absolutely jaw dropping beautiful! Our campsite was fairly large and we had no problem setting up. There are gecko's every where which was great. My only recommendation is to bring bug spray as our family...

My family and three others have been camping at Ft De Soto campground on presidents weekend for the last three years. The volunteers that keep this place preserved and beautiful are what makes this place so special. The grounds are clean. I don't ever see trash anywhere The view is fantastic. With camping at the site you get a ticket...
