Cute hotel! Right on the beach! Shells galore! A wonderful bottle of wine on arrival! The rooms were nicely decorated and the kitchenette was just what we needed. The staff was helpful, as this was our first time to the island. I can't wait to return to Sanibel and when we do, we will be staying at Song of the Sea

Song of the Sea is a breath of fresh air for travelers who are weary of slick, soulless resorts. Everything at this intimate small hotel transported us to a simpler time ... before bigger, louder and higher tech took over the luxury travel scene. Song of the Sea is in soothing proportion: the rooms are just the right size, the...

We spent four nights at Song of the Sea. Our gulf front suite, top floor, offered beautiful views of the beach and was very quiet. The inn provides a lovely continental breakfast on the patio/garden area. Truly a relaxing way to start the day. Bicycles are available on site and free to use. Beach chairs and umbrellas are set up...

We stayed at Song of the Sea for a few days recently and had a wonderful time. This is a small inn of 3 detached buildings containing from 8-12 suites on two levels. All rooms are front to back layout with a Gulf Front building (closest to ocean), Gulf View (farthest back but with view of both pool and ocean)...

We visited Song of the Sea in late August 2016 for two nights as a romantic weekend getaway. We pulled up to the front and noticed a small parking area right in front of the check-in office, which is very convenient. We walked in grabbed our keys and the front desk girl gave us a map of the property, breakfast...

Dear Kelly, Thank you for being our guest and for taking the time to send us a detailed recap of your visit. Your tips for other travelers will, I'm sure be very helpful to them as they plan their own romantic getaways. Our staff is happy to provide complimentary No-See-Um repellant (we normally give these upon arrival, but I'm sorry...

This is no glitzy sprawling resort. Song of the Seas looks like a throwback to the 1950's with its arched panels over the driveway and a main office that is a simple and unimpressive structure. In fact, at night, if you arrive late, you have to go next door to a sister resort to register. Disappointed at first, we found...

The picture provided is not a true representation of a room at Song of the Sea. The floors in the rooms are very very very filthy. We visited in October when the rates were 160 per night. This was even way too high. Very dirty, word to the wise..do not take your clothing out and hang in closets! You will...

Dear Jennifer, Thank you for sharing your impressions of your visit. I'm so sorry that you left us with such a negative impression - that is certainly not what the vast majority our guests experience and certainly not what we pride ourselves on. Regarding our floors - the finish on our terrazzo tile floors are sometimes mistaken for a cleanliness...

Loved Sanibel Island! Very relaxing, peaceful location. People (even the visitors) were extremely nice. It is a very family oriented location. The hotel was nice and clean. It had a nice screen in porch. Breakfast provided every morning and it included fresh fruit. Staff is very helpful.

We had a nice time here, very well kept up and a beautiful beach! The only problem was that the restaurant was closed for renovations so that is the reason for 4 stars. The tiki hut at the sister hotel was ok.
