It like going back in time to the simple life. The dock is a great place to hang out especially during a rain storm.and is set up just right to clean you catch of fish. The camp is located very near a boat ramp that is in good shape to put your boat in . Ample firewood is provided for nightly fires in the fire pit. With the cabins being kept to the old time fish camp they are kept very clean. The staff is always ready to help with anything you need.

Beautiful water setting. Well equipped cabins. Excellent customer service. Maintenance crew and wife are right on site and very friendly. Easily accessible and good WiFi. Very relaxing and quiet!! They were catching 50+ bluegill right off the dock and frying them up at the dockside outdoor kitchen.

We planned to bring a family member with us so got the larger cabin but were extremely happy with it. For health reasons, she could not join us. It was a great get-away for us though. This place has everything needed for a complete fishing experience; docking, cricket storage, a store, and benches and chairs to relax inside and out.

This was the perfect fishing trip. We stayed in a 6 bed cabin by the river. It immediately gave you a feeling of being back home in the 70s/60s which was outstanding because we would talk about old times growing up. We loved the accommodations because they represented what a fisherman is use to. The staff is absolutely outstanding!! Fishing was just the best we ever experienced. The trip was so good that we decided we have to make it an annual family men’s trip.

6 females stayed here to celebrate a 60th birthday & felt like we had stepped back to our childhood in old Florida! Quaint cabins, rocking chairs on the dock, shared fishing stories from fisherman coming in after a day on the St. John's, sitting around the camp fire at night, peace & quiet off the beaten path! You can truly relax here! For a venture, rent a pontoon boat nearby & cruise the river, eat at local restaurants with outstanding food & drinks! The owner, Jim Stege, has done a wonderful job of keeping the ambience of a forgotten time, in our minds. He goes out of his way to make sure camp is clean, simple, fun, & enjoyable! Thank you; will go again & highly recommend!

The cabins were clean, fully equipped including kitchen, TV and air conditioned. The location, right on the beautiful St. Johns, was perfect, with beautiful views up and down the river...And the staff was fantastic and attentive to anything we needed...GREAT seafood restaurants within minutes...and besides all that, we got into some big, big bass. We'll be back!
