    Had so much fun here, camped for two nights with my family. Nice campground very spacious and bathrooms were very close to us! So many Raccoons visited us and stole our food as we didn't put everything away! My family and I kayaked on this...More

    Listen to the information at the park about this trip. It is easy paddling but there are many trees across the river which requires almost laying flat in the canoe. However, beautiful scenery, lots of turtles, a couple of alligators. We camped at Alexander Springs....More

    I haven't been there in a couple months. But if you call they can will let you know if it's all clear and safe to go canoeing.

    The campground has designated camping areas, many of the sites are wooded and they all have bear boxes. I didn't look closely to see if trees would accommodate a hammock, but they looked substantial.
