This hotel is a mixed bag of good and not-so-good. Yes, it is well worn and some remodeling has been done. But because it is a long term stay, expect a mix of clientele from temporary employees needing a place to stay in the area to those needing temporary housing, as well as people vacationing for a week or so. Front side of the hotel is a nice clean looking hotel, back side is a bit rougher. Sometimes residents were hanging outside smoking but we never had any issue with anyone. Our stay was a month and in that time the only bugs were the usual seasonal Florida bugs outside. We had a non-smoking room that smelled just fine, the bed wasn’t fancy but comfortable, everything worked as promised, and to our surprise, our room was very quiet (top floor). Coin laundry downstairs was very handy and cheaper than the laundromat down the street. I can’t justify giving it 4 stars when compared to other places we’ve stayed but it certainly earns 3 stars.

THAT...and only that were the good things. The room was filthy, the TP had about 1/4 inch left on the roll, there were hairs in the tub, "small curly" hair on one of the towels. The microwave and the shelf it was on were simply GROSS with food splatter. The blinds were broken/chipped. It was a 1st floor unit and the window didn't lock. The floor was so dirty that after a shower, my wet feet actually made a bit of mud while standing in the bathroom. I went to the front desk and the lady there...speaking in "hood' through her row of gold teeth said that "there were no rooms to move me to and housekeeping sucked and would have them go back and re-clean. This was at 8 AM. It never happened. I would rather sleep next to a dumpster at a Days Inn than return to this place.

I have stayed here on three different occasions. On this visit, all amenities worked - TV, internet, & heat/AC. The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. Check-in was quick & the attendant was very friendly. The rates here are quite a bit lower than other motels - especially during the winter months..

I chose this hotel because I was working for two days in Port St. Lucie Florida. I had a bad experience about four years ago in a different Suburban Extended Stay Inn but chose this because it was the least expensive that I could find in the area.
When I got there, the front desk clerk was extremely pleasant and efficient. When I parked my car and brought my luggage to my room I was quite dismayed to see that even though it was a motel with exterior entrances and not a hotel with interior entrances, the exterior smelled badly of stale smoke, and fresh. Garbage cans were placed about every four rooms apart as well as commercial ashtrays. The garbage cans were full, one had been tipped over with all the nasty garbage laying on the concrete. No smoking was allowed in the rooms but my room smelled of smoke. The sidewalks around the building were badly stained and in need of pressure washing. Built up gum, coffee stains, spilled soft drinks etc were covering the sidewalks. There also seemed to be homeless people who were crashing/staying/rooming in that motel. They were many bicycles, both chained and unchained, laying about.
When I went into the room, I was pleasantly surprised that it was extremely clean with items available necessary to wash dishes It had two pots and two burners for use in preparing food. However, it had mis-matched placesettings, one coffee cup, two plates, three small plates, and an odd assortment of flatware. There was no coffee pot but there were packets of coffee for use. No breakfast was available, probably because they had a kitchenette in each room, but the office didn’t even have coffee which I thought was very strange. I don’t normally go to motels such as this, I normally stay at either the Hilton branded group of hotels such as the Hampton Inn or the IHC (intercontinental hotel group) brand such as Holiday Inn.
The only reason why I stayed at this location was that it was about $100 per night less expensive than even the Best Western hotel. Hotels in Stuart Florida are ridiculously expensive and I really don’t know why. At any rate., I went down to Port St. Lucie to work and make money. I work 12 hour shifts or more and so don’t spend much time in the hotels but the time I do spend in them I expect to be somewhat pleasant. This Suburban In was not. The next day I was able to get into a different hotel which was $30 per night more expensive, but was much more comfortable and included breakfast.

5/5/2021 we check in to a two night stay Woke up to the blaring sun at 530 due to no curtains on the windows. I simply went down to ask morning staff to switch rooms to one with a cooler ac. This staff person was incredibly rude and out of line I brush it off. I explain about curtains and they give me a ciggarette burned sheet to hang over the window. We threw it away on the way home. We check out room 104. It smelled like urine and ciggarette. It had broken crack stems under the bed. This was after the cleaning lady with no uniform or mask had just "checked it" . It brought me to tears. I ran back to the front desk To be berated by the awful am staff person who even had the gall to try to act like I wasn't in the right to be upset at 100$ a night. There is not a way in hell that I will stay in a room with no curtains, facing the sun in south Florida. The cleaning lady was nice enough to rub it in my face that she had curtains on her windows. All the while I'm in tears being screamed at. The woman says "Happy Mother's Day" cackling high giving with the cleaning lady at our expense. This was my only day off in eight months. I am working at the moment and could never afford to do all of this again elsewhere. I did not get any type of refund, discount, rebate, phone call absolutely nothing. The hotel was filthy in both rooms 307 was on but you could clearly see that this hotel is filled with junkies. When we went to get ice we were frightened at the amount of crackheads And drug deals going on just right out in the open. Nothing but a drug den now. We made sure to contact the Stuart PD and report this manager who will not return my calls and reported the awful staff person who would not relinquish her name but we made sure and reported get too. We were essentially brow beaten and abused for asking for normal amenities that are available elsewhere for half the price. Any reviews that are good about this hotel are fake and I've reported them too. I have went on every platform there is and I will not stop until I save every person I can from having to be abused my crappy staff at a disgusting one star hotel. They should refund my money, it was 8 am and this is how we were treated on two hours sleep....

You complained that the sun was blaring in your window all night and could not sleep. Note, the sun rose at 6:40am on the morning of the 6th. The hotel accommodated your with your complaint immediately, and mover you to another room. You then came to front desk staff and made another complaint that the room was too bright. The hotel has blinds in all of the hotel rooms, and at the time, yes, the best thing we could offer you was a blanket to hang over the window. The rooms do not come with curtains, they have blinds; as per Choice Hotel standards when the hotel started updating the hotel rooms. The guest in question GINA-MARIE VORUBA received a refund of the second night because we were unable to accommodate her to her standard of a blacked-out room. Upon inspection of the original room this guest was in; Maintenance found no issue with the A/C unit. It was blowing at a constant 71 degrees Fahrenheit. To address the issues of staff, there is not a maid that lives on the premises. I do not know who you are referring to. Housekeeping doesn't start until 9am. Lastly, the guest in question was never promised a full refund. We offered to refund her the second night, because she would not be staying with us. After the refund was processed, the guest demanded a cash refund. We were unable to refund the guest Cash due to the system only allowing us to refund money the way it received to prevent money laundering. This guest then lashed out and was swearing at the manager, and the front desk agent calling them profanities and racial slurs. At that time, we asked her to leave, or we would be forced to get the police involved. She continued screaming at the top of her lungs as she made her exit.

I will never go back to this place. The air conditioner was broken and room was dirty I asked for maintenance at 3pm to fix air conditioner they told me they left front desk manager screaming when asked for a new room they told me they couldn’t. I wouldn’t waste a dollar on this room they refused to do anything I had to change my own sheets and they they proceeded to try and charge my card for another $50 for no reason. If I could have gone to another hotel I would have but everywhere was sold out. The front desk “manager” was screaming at me told me I should have just slept outside and when I asked for the GM she told me no. Stay far away from this hotel

Thank you for your review. You stayed 1 night with us and had an A/C issue. We replaced your A/C unit as soon as we were notified. You however did not mention in your review that you completely TRASHED the room and were acting very sketchy like you were on some type of drug. You have been added to our do not rent list because #1 you were higher than a kite and #2 you trashed the room. We have pictures if anyone would like to see.

The rooms were old furnishing were old, and The place looked dirty, It appeared to me that some people lived there long term. I would not stay there again. However I did NOT see any bugs. The building looked new and clean from the outside, but I never felt comfortable or safe.

The place is a dump, no getting around that. Appears to be a welfare hotel also. With all kinds of drug addict derelicts all over the place with god knows how many squeezed into every room. Its a totally unsafe place to stay. Drug dealing going on and people begging for money and food. Everything is old and barely works. No dishes or pots for the kitchen, had to buy my own. A/c didn't work and when I turned on the heat the fire alarm went off. Stayed 6 days and it was hell. Choice hotels has to know this is a dump but could care less.

Trashy staff, management and bad service. Hotel smells like rotten tomatoes, very bad service . I will not recommend this hotel to any one. Not coming back. Price is also high for such low service and standard hotel. This should be zero star hotel

I would recommend another spot but the last place we had stayed was the Best Western just down the road and it was twice as much for the room. But that hotel also had the sounds of the trains and planes.
It was not really what we expected. It is in desperate need of updating very old and dilapidated. Although rooms are non smoking the ashtrays are left on the a/c units and the room smelled of smoke and I smoke. It was a lot smaller too, I had to squeeze by the dresser to go to the bathroom. They had a small table for dining or for our computer and no extra room to actually eat. If you just need a place to sleep, NOPE I will not go back here, so I can not recommend to stay.
