Stayed at this property with our Travel Trailer 3 nights over New Years. The property has a lively bar, snack bar, a beach and a small dog park. The RV's are parked a little to close for my liking. We could smell the sewage from our neighbors so we spent most of the time at the beach. Very dog friendly... More

Quite pricey over New Year but it's a quality well managed site with folks abiding the rules despite other comments. Located at mile post 20 it's a 20 minute drive to Key West and a haven to return to after the wild city! Quite a large site with RV sites, in place rentals and a tent area. Wifi was pretty... More

Camped here for 3 days and they were fully booked. Check in lady seemed extremely overwhelmed, we got there after dark and set up tent. Washrooms very clean and lots of showers, air conditions and never had to wait for a shower. No set spaces for camping, you just set up in a section wherever there is room. Beach isn't... More

Stayed in the Airstream Trailer 258. Really run-down, needs to be taken out of service or refurbished. Shutters broken, pet hair all over, dishes missing, dusty and sheets were stained. Do yourself a favor and move on to Key West, which we did. Superior accommodations at a much cheaper price !

I took photos that I wish I had seen before I went. I was tent camping and needed to know the water/electric situation. There weren't any guarantees from the reviews I saw, so let me tell you what I know now....If you choose to pay more for a Deluxe tent site you will get; a picnic table, firepit, two level... More

We stayed here last year and came back this year and have requested a week next year! VERY friendly staff, clean grounds and restrooms. it is only 15 miles for the Eastern city limit of Key West. The Iguanas that walk around add a delightful addition to the outdoors experience.

The KOA is about 15 mins from Key West. The sites could seem a little close if the park is full. There is a cafe open for breakfast and lunch. They have a nice sized pool although we didn't use it. Next to the cafe is a large pub where they occasionally have karaoke and dancing. For Thanksgiving day they... More

Stayed here while attending Fantasy Fest. The bathrooms were clean and air conditioned. There were a few loud, angry, drunk girls and large loud families in the tent area making some noise but I knew that could be expected. Stayed in the "Back 40" tent area with no water or electrical hook ups. Was very nice but would have liked... More

We were going to stay in downtown Key West but the hotels were limited and expensive due to it being spring break. We checked out the KOA trailer rentals. It was great! The campground is a just a short drive to Key West. The trailer we rented was a 2 bedroom unit. It was very new. It had a slide... More

We did not find this campground as bad as the reviews we read. It is a little pricy but it is fantyfest. We didn't use the showers or bathroom as we use the facilities in our RV. Spacing of RV's are no closer then other campgrounds. We'd stay here again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Open all year. Set between the crystal clear Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA is a true beachfront resort. You'll find amenities and activities designed to please everyone in the family, local fishing and beachside fun at the campground's own water haven. Dine under swaying palm trees and sip frozen margaritas on the waterfront veranda of the campground's pub. Even your family pet will have fun at the pet playground specifically designed for them. Ever-appealing Key West lies just 14 miles south. Hop on the campground's shuttle to this funky and historic end of the road, dubbed "the Conch Republic." Walk the narrow streets showcasing Conch architecture-breezy wood houses with lush tropical gardens-once home to pirates, treasure hunters, sailors, novelists like Hemingway and songwriters like Buffett. End the day with a sunset at Mallory Pier. ... more   less
