I purchased a tent site with KOA sugarloaf key West for March 6th. On March 5th, there was a medical incident that occurred within my family preventing us from being able to go on this trip. Surrounded by the chaos of an emergency, I called to cancel and get a refund of my $104.63 back. The woman I spoke to...

One of the larger KOAs we've been to, Sugarloaf was very clean and offered numerous amenities for a campground. We were tent camping so we used the community facilities. The bathrooms & showers were nice and staff was very friendly. The only complaint we had was our noisy camp neighbors. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, just wished that the...

The camp site was in a good location for visting the Key West. The camp sites were not that great, all sand sites and you are packed in like sardines on the weekend. Over all a little pricey for what you got, but as they say location, location, location is every thing.

We booked a tent site on this campground since hotels were completely booked or crazy expensive for Easter week. We got there late afternoon and our confirmation paper was not in the entrance as their indicated in the confirmation advice, same to other people that got there around same time than us, so everybody we should go to the office....

Very nice KOA. Bathrooms are very clean. The pool is also very nice. There is a very nice bar with entertainment on weekends. There is also a small (very) beach area. Be adviced that the sites are tight, but well maintained. The snow birds decorate and make it a fun campground

We rented three trailers from this location for a group of 12 people. The trailers were clean, remodeled, and well appointed. They weren't spacious, but travel trailers never are, and in the Keys if you want space, you should expect to pay for it. We got a great deal. What's more, they had large porches with gas grills. We got...

This was a nice park on the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are good bike trails behind the camp ground. The great thing is the proximity to Key West. There is a bus just outside the park that goes back and fore to the keys a few times a day, so you can go down town...

We stayed a week at this KOA. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They are right on the water and have a small beach and swimming area, as well as boat rentals. They also have a small shop for essentials (important since the nearest real grocery store is 20 miles away), as well as a nice cafe and bar....

Great location, great staff, good good at restaurant, amazing marina, very clean shower facilities. Loud neighbors made it impossible to sleep, crazy bar scene produced lots of drinks, very tight camp sites and restrictions on traffic would have helped. If you want sleep, not the place. It's a shame because the location and staff are wonderful

We felt this campground was a good value in the Florida Keys. We rented an Airstream camper, here, and were pleased. The camper was small, but clean. My 6'4" husband was unable to use the toilet or shower. But he said the bath house was very nice. The bed was very comfortable for us, and the kitchen was clean and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Open all year. Set between the crystal clear Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA is a true beachfront resort. You'll find amenities and activities designed to please everyone in the family, local fishing and beachside fun at the campground's own water haven. Dine under swaying palm trees and sip frozen margaritas on the waterfront veranda of the campground's pub. Even your family pet will have fun at the pet playground specifically designed for them. Ever-appealing Key West lies just 14 miles south. Hop on the campground's shuttle to this funky and historic end of the road, dubbed "the Conch Republic." Walk the narrow streets showcasing Conch architecture-breezy wood houses with lush tropical gardens-once home to pirates, treasure hunters, sailors, novelists like Hemingway and songwriters like Buffett. End the day with a sunset at Mallory Pier. ... more   less
