If you're going to the Amalie for anything, I highly recommend staying here. They have a decent restaurant and pool as well. Some renovations going on, but mostly that was a non-issue. Parking not cheap.

Just had dinner in the Great Room in the lobby in comfortable, casual seating. Rodney is excellent and made an excellent recommendation for dinner. I stay at a lot of Marriotts and this is one of the better ones. I'd come back.
