Nothing fancy about the place, but nothing really bad to say either. Desk clerk had the personality of a wall but not rude just not happy with life I guess, we are all entitled to that.
Room typical motel setup except the parking was away from the rooms where I was staying so if I were on the Harley, would not be conducive to load and unload the bike.
Room was dated, but clean. Had microwave, fridge and coffee maker and very small 24” TV on the wall. No iron or blow dryer if that’s important for you. Air was ice cold and bed was clean just kinda worn out.
Paid 168 (it’s season and a weekend night) through Expedia. It’s a $100 a night at best but it is what it is.
Probably choose another location if I return to this area
Will not use this motel again
It was spacious. Help was not encouraging. We went to front lobby to get coffee in the am. Gave us coffee packet and said get our own water in our room. Lol
Positive-The staff was pleasant and the hotel was conveniently located for my needs.
If you have to book a room, I suggest rooms on back. The pool was clean but I didn't pay attention to the spa.
This hotel must be running on past glory. I drive - Miami t- Tarpon Springs, Atlanta routinely-for years, I have a broad base for comparison. Terrible waste of money.
The female receptionist was very helpful and friendly as we arrived and a lot of so called four or five star hotels of today could learn from her how to handle the customer. So much to that.
The staff is great in this Motel, the maid, the maintenance-guy, the receptionist, the owner, just everyone. No wonder the Motel is clean and well maintained.
The Motel has a nice out-side pool and a nice sundeck. The Motel has a spa with hot water, and some machines were you can buy water, soft-drinks and some snacks or chocolate.
The location is also great, because its close to Dunkin Donuts, Chilis, McDonald, and Codys, so you can get food everywhere. Its just a ten minute walk to Publix were you can buy all the food you need if you want to cook by yourself.
We booked a room with two Queen Size beds and a little kitchen. This was just great, because we could make our own breakfast every morning, opened the door and let the sunshine in, it was beautiful. We had a room on the second floor in the back, so we didn't heard the traffic from US-19. I would recommend the rooms in the back with the little kitchen if you want to book this Motel.
We watched Anderson Park, and Tarpon-Lake, you can walk if you like, and we used a Taxi to drive to the sponge-docks, eating the famous greek-food. Its just beautiful, go to the sponge-docks in the evening-hours and stop at "Hellas Bakery & Restaurant", in my opinion they have the best greek food, the best long drinks, and the best sweeties in Tarpon-Springs. I will write a separate review about this restaurant.
Another good restaurant at the sponge-docks is "Dimitris", this restaurant is directly located on the water. The Tsaziki, the Saganaki with brandy and lemon, the Suflaki, the Gyro, the Pitabread, and the Greek Salad with Potato-Salad was just a dream.
I hope my review was helpful, enjoy your vacation.
Sincerely,
E.K.
"Much better choice than the motel in downtown for sure. If you have to book a room, I suggest rooms on back."Read full review
