We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Hickory Point. The park offers shaded sites with enough room between sites to open awnings and enjoy a grassy area as well as table and chairs. The staff were very friendly and fun to be with during evening events. The seasonal and full time sites were well maintained. t was very quiet day and night but people were very friendly. We enjoyed the sandy beach area and the grassy area for sunning and sunsets. A calendar of events was shared with those in the park offering breakfasts and evening games, cards, movies and fires. If we were to come back to Tarpon Springs, we would definitely book ahead to stay there.
Great spot. We stayed in the Cabin as we not RV people. Quaint little cabin....space efficient. Nice stay. Great spot to meet people. Sunsets are unreal....different one every day. If your staying in Cabin watch the hot water as there is only a 20lb tank on the heater....they might want to upgrade to a larger one. A small dresser in master bedroom would be nice too as there is room for one. Maybe add a few hooks around for towels ect too. I do question the value as it is over priced.
This park is so pretty and nice. Waterfront is quiet and beautiful, sites have trees and shrubs. Somewhat flat site (111) with mix of pebbles and shells for base. Ez hookups, good water pressure but internet was tricky. Laundry is coin operated only. Showers in bathroom are small. Continental breakfast each morning and activities almost every night. Trash pickup at site everyday. Lots of amenities for the price.
Small park with lots of heart. Wendy, Paula and the rest of the staff are very friendly and welcoming and create a sense of community. Beautifully manicured grounds with lots of trees and greenery between sites. Park view sites are spacious and waterfront sites have patios on the edge of the Anclote River. Both of those types of sites come with a round dining table and 4 chairs and 2 rocking chairs with a side table. We are already booked for a longer stay next December. Big rig friendly at most of the sites.
We were guests over X-Mass. Weather was very cold but park staff were great. Hickory is a great out -of-the way, laid back beautiful spot. It’s ideal for relaxing or to explore the area from. Sunsets are absolutely gorgeous! Hard to find but that’s what makes it Special!!
Our RV group The Rolling Stones chose this location for our November rally. It's a perfect location close to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. While we were here we attended the Seafood Festival, Tarpon Springs Aquarium, ate lunch at Hellas, went to Sunset Beach and took a boat tour to Anclote Island. The campgrounds are nice and they are working every day raking and trimming trees and bushes. There's a lot of ground on the river with chairs to sit and watch the boats and fishermen or play volleyball, cornhole or horseshoes. The community room is nice and we were able to reserve it for our meetings and get togethers. The park served us breakfast 3 days and dinner once during our stay. Wendy is the manager and she was a great hostess and made us feel welcome.
We love this RV Park. It is a great location with views of the river. It is close to home, perfect for a quick getaway. We choose a waterfront site for our weekends there. We saw Dolphins and many different birds during her visit.
We love this park! We stay here at a minimum of 4 times a year and always look forward to it. We love sitting in the chairs on the waterfront park and enjoying nature, the beautiful Anclote River and the vast array of boats riding by. Their fees are at the premium level but the waterfront access helps justify it.
We absolutely loved this location! It was so nice to ride our bikes every morning along the miles of trails, much of it was covered riding with lush oaks and pines. Plenty of places to stop along the way at parks with beachfront access. This is one of my favorite parks! This picture is on the walk to the salt springs.
Beautiful rv campground! Nice staff. We had a park view site and could watch the sunset over the water from our site through the huge shady trees. Well maintained, they have corn hole, volleyball, tether ball, and for $ rent kayaks or paddle board. The sponge docks close by, so is Fred Howard Beach and Sunset Beach. I have been there 4 times and will be back, it is our favorite!
