We travel to Key Largo for diving several times/year and this has become our regular place to stay. It's affordable, a few rooms here can sleep up to 8, and it's close to everything. Also, they're very accommodating when you arrive late after the office...More
This is a budget hotel, so I did not have high expectations, but it was not a good experience. The ground level room felt like a dark basement, because the tiny window was blocked by built-in a/c unit, which was so loud I could not...More
Reservation was booked with check-in being noted as "after 16:00" (which means 4 pm). We arrived at 11:30 pm with a guaranteed, paid reservation. Front desk was closed. There was an end table in the lobby with a prominent sign above it indicating that keys...More
Considering the "name brand" hotels in the area were $200+ for a Saturday night, this was a bargain. The place is older so you have to expect it not to be perfect. Yes the bathroom is small, the room is on the small side, it...More

Typically the winter months (December - March) are considered the tourist season, but in the Keys you never know because the weather is always so wonderful. Best advise go on line to find hotels/motels where you want to stay and check the rates now. AVOID the Tavenier Inn at all costs it is a smelly dump - I walked in the room, walked back out and LEFT, paid $117 for 1 night there (which I never got back) had to go down the road to find a room (very nice though at the Bay Harbor Lodge but the room cost $208.13 for 1 night). Best advise research places, prices and reviews NOW.
