We just returned from a great week stay at the crystal palms resort. After reading several reviews, I must say that I was a little nervous about my stay there. Let me start by telling all the pros about this resort. I loved the layout of our 2 bedroom condo. It felt very spacious and we had great views from our large balcony. The staff was very friendly and I absolutely love the location. It was a short walk to the beach, shopping and many restaurants. Even though we were so close to everything it still felt very private compared to some of the larger resorts in the area. Unfortunately there were also some things that should be addressed that need improvements. It is a little dated and could use fresh paint. When we first checked in, the floors were still wet from cleaning yet the floors and countertops were visibly still dirty. There was a broom in the condo but no dustpan or mop. For someone staying a week that would be very helpful. The hot tub was down our entire stay. We were told from the maintenance guy that it is under new management that are willing to put money into improvements so I am really hoping this happens. We would definitely stay again but are very hopeful that the new management invest into what could be a 5 star review next time.

Just returned from Crystal Palms and can say we really enjoyed our stay. We had family staying nearby in 3 other condo's all within walking distance, although they were directly beachfront. We are locals, so opted to save a bit by being on the other side of the street. All the family agreed that our Unit 302 was the largest and had the better balcony. I should point out, our Unit was very, very similar in design to these other 3 condos. Crystal Palm had a smaller pool - which was a real plus. As Red Tide was evident on the beach, everyone headed to the pool at my other families resorts nearby and they were PACKED! We enjoyed our pool without the congestion of soooo many people. The beds were comfortble and clean. small shampoos and soaps were available, but missed having Kleenex in the bathrooms. I would easily stay here again and simply cross the street for beach access.

I don't typically review places I visit, but there is a first time for everything. In considering the previous reviews written regarding this resort, I figured I should share my honest opinion and positive experience. For starters, the room I stayed in was on the 3rd floor and it was a 2-bedroom condo, very spacious and accommodating. It over looked the pool/hot tub area and I could even partially view the ocean. The condo was perfect for my 2 children and the wife approved the cleanliness, which says a lot. Considering this place is directly across from the beach, sandy floors were to be expected. The housekeeping staff was on point and front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The one person I want to mention above all is the front desk manager Ashley. Ashley went above and beyond to ensure my family had a great stay, despite the recent and major neck/back surgery she apparently had. Blown away by her dedication to her employer and the outstanding customer service my family received. Most people I know wouldn't be working so soon after surgery, but Ashley did so selflessly and efficiently. Hard workers such as Ashley are far and few between- impossible to come by. What an asset! Kudos to Ashley!

The front desk staff is very pleasant. We stayed in room 308. We have stayed at Crystal Palms before, in one of the penthouses. This room is an end unit and had a great balcony with a wonderful breeze. It is easy to cross the street to the beach. Rooms have two bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen and a living room. Having a sink outside the bathroom was very handy. This room also had 3 flat screen tvs. The dishwasher was ancient, didn't clean the dishes, and smelled like burning plastic when you used it. The coffee maker worked, but was also very old. They ought to replace all the dishes and silverware so it matches. There is no maid service, despite the email telling us they would replace towels every other day.

Fifth floor room on the advice of TripAdvisor gives a bit of an ocean view. Beautifully outfitted condo, and CLEAN! Full kitchen made for nice dining options. About 5 minutes from John's Pass. Would definitely stay again.
