We stayed for a week, could look at that view forever!!!! Lovely cottage with everything you need, the owners were away so didn't get the chance to eat at their restaurant, this is a place everyone should take time to go to.

We were bog and hill walking on the Isle of Lewis, following in the footsteps of the characters in Peter May's novels. After staying in Ness we moved to the Ardroil, Uig Beach area. Uig Beach may be one of the best beaches in the world with miles of golden sand and sky blue water. The Auberge Carnish sits on...

We stayed for three nights and were so very well looked after by the lovely Richard. The rooms were cosy, the food was to die for and the views breath-taking. Wish we could have stayed longer. We were particularly impressed with the food - the best we have had in years. Though it's a bit out of the way, the...

We spend an evening in the Restaurant and the experience was really unforgettable: amazing traditional food revisited by the Chef served in front a breath taking view. Amazing wine list too! The Chef was not only a real Cooking Master but an amazing person too, so friendly and helpful. I'll be there again!

Beautiful setting, lovely host and great food - somehow I have now been fully converted to being a black pudding fan and that's down to Stornoway's finest (along with Richard's cooking). If it weren't closing I'm certain we'd have been coming back. Best of luck with the future ventures!

We stayed two nights and enjoyed everything! Richard is a fantastic chef and his staff is both professional and friendly. The view from our room Was stunning even with the rain. A very special thank to Jacky who helped us to have our car repaired with all her energy...she is great!

We were staying elsewhere but, having read an item in the Sunday Times before consulting TripAdvisor, the restaurant was definitely on our list of places to visit on Lewis. We were not disappointed; indeed, we returned later the same week to make sure we hadn't imagined finding such an outstanding restaurant in such an out-of-the-way place! And with a view...

We stumbled upon this place on our recent trip to Lewis and what a great find it was. Staff could not do enough for us and the food was as good as you would expect in a top city restaurant never mind on a remote part of Lewis!! That matched with the view made this an must visit place if...

Outstanding food and service with a beautiful view across the sands of Uig. Host/chef does a fantastic job here and we returned twice in a few days. It's a must visit if you're in the area - book ahead. 5 star dining without all the pretentiousness of a top London restaurant - just pure and honest pride in cooking the...

Richard is a terrific chef and presents wonderfully prepared food. We ate dinner at the B&B each of the 4 nights during our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful. The views were stunning and a "must do" is a walk on the beach you can see from the dining room. Each day we set out on another adventure from...
