The property itself is very well kept. The grounds, parking lot, interior common areas, and the rooms are very clean and in good repair. This says housekeeping and maintenance are certainly on top of their games here. Also, to be noted, is the very organized and dedicated parking areas for semis and larger vehicles with trailers toward the back. Nicely thought out parking arrangements that often aren't seen at a hotel. However, this is where the good ends. Obviously management has their priorities wrong and in benefit of themselves. I left an item in room 208 and called, and advised that it would be a while before I get to return to Florida again, can it please be held on to. I was advised of a strict 30 day hold policy on all lost and found items, no budging. Then items are up for grabs for staff members. Obviously the management must collect a lot of nice items for themselves and their friends on account of this nonsense. Secondly, breakfast on weekends doesn't start until 7am. This is rather late, considering this property is more of a pass through stay and not a vacation destination. What about people that are just arriving off a flight? This wasn't my situation, but an airport shuttle pulled up around 6:20 am, and these individuals commented on the same. The doors to the breakfast area were still closed and the room dark at around 6:45am. They settled to their room, and I departed the property to get on the road. This late breakfast time must really save management a lot of inconvenience at the expense of the guests. A nice property yes, and would be worthy of 5 stars, if the inconveniences didn't exist.…
What I liked was it was quiet, so I slept well and the breakfast is convenient and good. But here's the negatives... Ants in the bathroom (see pics) as well as mold in the shower (see pics). The location was not very good, right off the highway with no good coffee shops in the area. I'll avoid this hotel next time in the area. I don't understand how this is rated the #1 hotel in town from TripAdvisor... I conclude my honest review.
Don’t come here unless you want your pet covered in fleas the next day! I’ll now have to spend the next month treating my poor allergic cat and deep clean my house because of this dirty hotel!! Management has still not offered to refund me even after charging an extra $45 pet fee — for what?! Clearly, they don’t deep clean after people’s pets anyway and just pocket the extra money.
Close to the highway. Clean and comfortable could use a little updating. Was a little pricey. It was hard getting into the parking lot not marked to well. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Bud checked us in and we were able to check in a little early. He was very nice and friendly. Close to the Villages. A little concern when we first got there cause it said elevator wasn’t working but it was that had just finished fixing it. Parking lot could of been lit up better. If in the area again would stay there again.
Traveling south to Naples and this was an overnight stop. We stopped in early and they allowed us to check in a little early. Much appreciated. The place is clean and the staff was friendly. Rooms are nice but parking lot is not well lit up on back side. Road Entrance needs to be marked so it is easier to spot. Air conditioner was very noisy when it was turned on. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and area was clean.
We stayed here before a few years ago and loved it. Especially for the price! Clean! Nice employees. Breakfast is fine. Great location near our parents in the villages. Takes pets which is a huge plus!
Easy parking, easy check in, room 216 could use a refresh. AC not working very well, a piece falling off AC unit; AC filter dirty; chipped paint here & there. Excellent breakfast for price. Helpful staff.
Looking for a place to stay for the night and had not made prior reservations, we wheeled in here and was able to get a room. About 3 miles off interstate 75 and right off the Florida Turnpike. Room was nice. Staff was very helpful, front desk clerk's were very professional.
Wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Very clean and quiet, super friendly staff. Great location off the turnpike. Nice alternative to the choices in Leesburg or The Villages. Only ten minutes to TV or 15 to Leesburg.
I booked this hotel for an overnight stay for myself, my mother and my 2 year old son. I had a meeting locally and my mother was watching my child whilst I went to my meeting before we went on to Orlando. I chose this hotel as it was close to the turnpike, close to my meeting venue and had everything we needed onsite, restaurant, bar, pool. We arrived after a 3 hour drive and checked in. The man on the check in desk was surly and rude, not welcoming at all. We had requested an early check-in which was arranged. I left my mother and child at the hotel whilst I went to my meeting. After the meeting, and at the end of a very long day, I was looking forward to a meal and a glass of wine. This is where the problem lies. The onsite restaurant has actually closed down! The only option for food is a very small choice of chocolate and crisps from the lobby vending machine. Not what I was expecting after an exhausting day. We ended up having to drive 20 minutes away to a complex called ‘Redwood’. This was an incredible find and is highly recommended, however, the point of booking this hotel was that I would be able to enjoy a glass of wine and not have to worry about driving. The hotel should make people aware that the onsite restaurant is no longer available, it clearly says that there is a restaurant and there isn’t. They supply a buffet type breakfast but there is no option for lunch or dinner. The room itself was clean and tidy, but the lack of advertised facilities let it down.…
