Today's economy means you have to be economical when planning your vacation. Pay less for more memories while on your trip when you stay with us. Lake Ida Beach Resort is a Winter Haven, Florida, tourist destination that makes your vacation unforgettable.
Previous review rated this property as "Very good". We would only rate it a "Good". It is a series of cabins that are tired and worn on a lake. We can see how it would work for families that were coming down to spend a vacation on the water, but of all the places we stayed at during our 30-day trip throughout the country, this was probably the sorriest. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice-enough check-in lady, but nothing to write home about.

I read the reviews for this place and they were good. So I booked a room. I did not arrive until dark. That may have been a good thing. I checked in, got my key and went to the cottage. Upon entering it smelled clean and looked nice. But when I went to check out the bathroom I saw roaches when I turned on the light. I also saw one or two in the kitchen area. So I went back to office for a refund. I had no difficulty getting that because the manager went and looked at the room too. I was really looking forward to staying here. She said they spray for bugs all the time but...the thought of them being there did not sit well with me. And I did not want any of them hitch hiking a back home with me. I was supposed to be there for four nights. Fortunately I found another place to stay.

Nice clean cabin for a reasonable price. We were at lego land for 2 days with 3 kids and 4 adults. Last hotel was not worth it. Glad I found this place. It was well worth it and we will come back next visit to Lego land.

A Vintage Deal: clean, roomy, and inexpensive. Ideal for a long stay. I stayed one week at Lake Ida Beach Resort for a visit to Legoland and area attractions. This property is a classic aged vintage Florida bungalow/cabin roadside resort/hotel with about twenty units; a few of the bungalows are duplexes (1-2, 4-5, 8-9, 14-15). Our unit 12 had a fully stocked kitchenette. The property is on the main road through Winter Haven yet secluded at the north edge of town between Lake Ida and a cemetery; a few minutes from the main business areas of town: several dozen restaurants, groceries, Wal-Mart, Staples, Post Office. It is eight miles and one well marked turn from Legoland; Disney World is 24 miles to the north east via state roads (9 miles) then I-4 (15 miles). Vintage…

We loved this place! For a price similar to a hotel room, we got extra space, a mini-kitchen, and a unique atmosphere. . The cabins are older, but they are vey well maintained. We definitely enjoyed spending time in a unique place instead of yet another bland hotel. We will look to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

I like most people used the an online site to book this place. It looked family oriented. I was traveling from Miami to take my kids to various parks. When we arrived at the place it I could not believe it, my kids where afraid to even get down, The sing outside said Motel Ida, not close to a resort, nor a have class hotel. There where men drinking alcohol outside, no shirt, really discussing image. I got down and talked to the owner, a very unpleasing person, to tell him that I was not able to stay there do to the fact that it was not what was advertise at all. He said that he was still going to charge a night. Any way, I ended up paying for a night in a place that I did not stayed. I do not regret it, because my kids and me would have not been able to feel safe. My…

I got the double. Called them and asked it it was big enough for 5 adults and 2 kids. I also asked about bringing a blowup bed and 2 cars. They said no problem. I got there before the other car. They said I wasn't suppose to have more than 4 people. I said I called and asked. They finally gave me the keys. Then the oven is gas, we had bought stuff to make our breakfast, well it was a big mess and smelled up the whole place. I saw the lady owner she said they were getting a new one on monday and let us borrow her small convection oven. Saw there blow up bed and goes do you have a dog. NOPE Other than that at least there was hot water and it was clean. Although I would not want to stay there in our hot weather since it has one wall unit and it was in the low 80 and lower over…

We stayed 4 nights while going to Legoland. The cottage was very clean, quiet, and roomie. Down side: no internet in our cottage for more than 5 minutes - which I prepared for and printed work before I left home thanks to another person's review. If you are a hotel staying spoiled brat this is not the place for you because it is rustic and dated. Our TV was a 20" TV that was on a swivel for the sitting area or bedroom which wasn't good for the kids. Overall, for the price it is perfect and we will stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Legoland. The place is very dated, but has a lot of "old Florida" charm. Our cottage was very clean on the interior. The exterior could use a little spiffing up. Loved that we had a kitchen area with full size fridge and gas stove. The lake area was beautiful. We did not use the pool. Lot's of privacy for a low price.
