The breakfast spread is good. The reception area is big and nice. Lotte Grosir is just next to the hotel and there is also a 24hr pharmacy opp the hotel. There is a massage parlour and Chinese restaurant in the hotel.

Poor maintenance of the hotel room. Leakage in toilet and floor is always wet. The bed frame with wheels are shaky and quilt cover is smelly. It’s pretty dirty and you can see it with naked eyes. It is yellowish blanket and yellowish bath towel. However wifi is good in the hotel room.

Spent our 1st year wedding anniversary in Batam as all airlines tickets are fully booked. I choosed this hotel thinking that the Harris Hotel will be crowded and we want a little privacy. Although i read some reviews saying some negative feedback i still carry on to book in this hotel. The hotel location is not really good as you always need to take taxi if you want to take food, and we all know most of the taxi drivers in batam will try to make money from tourist. Here's my comments with the hotel and Private Car hired by the hotel.

1. The Receptionist did not informed us that we need to pay for a deposit of 2,000,000.00 Rupiah and just swipe my card and ask me to sign. The Receptionist cannot explain when i ask him what is this 2,000,000.00? I ask him if this for my o/s balance he said NO, in the end the other receptionist explained to me. This male receptionist did not gave us a breakfast stub as well and i still need to ask his colleague why he did not gave us the breakfast stub! (Our rooms includes breakfast)

2. Given that the taxi drivers in Batam cannot be trusted and always trying to conned all the tourist as much as they can, that is why we thought thats the reason why the hotel used a private car (but they still called a TAXI) for the guests everytime they ask for, maybe because they are more trusted????? Here's the story.
SInce we are going back in SG and need to take the taxi going to ferry terminal, we asked the bell boy to call for a taxi for us. So he gave us this private car Toyota colour black with plate no 1127 DN and the driver about 45 yrs old to send us in Ferry. The Fee that they charged is 40,000.00 (SG $6) although the hotel is only 5 mins away from ferry. And because the car need to enter the carpark the driver ask us to pay the car park fee! and when my husband said that the car park fee is already included in the payment we made in Hotel he keeps talking in malay and forcing us to pay for the fee. My husband refused and said the taxi fare here is more expensive than in SG and we are not stupid people! The suddenly the driver tried to hit my hiusband in the face, and saying in MALAY words that you are in batam i can do whatever i want to do! Then i started to shout and asked him to stop. He went out from the car and still asking my husband to fight with him, i just pulled my husband coz the driver really looks scary and i'm thinking he will do something wrong to us. With this kind of people we definitely not coming back in this hotel again nor the place!
Thinking that this private car hired by hotel will gave us more comfort and safe journey but it's absolutely wrong.

For all the people who wants to go in Batam, please remember this plate number, he is not only working in this hotel coz in batam even a private car can be used as a taxi (illegal) anytime.

TOYOTA BLACK PLATE NO 1127 DN.

Checked in to just place our baggage in room and head out for the day. When we returned back to our room in the evening to find out that the room is not even in a clean condition.
1) room had wood blocks underneath the bed
2) toilet bowl has stains
3) wallpaper has stains
4) room has musty smell
5) sofa stains are visible upon checking into the room
The rooms are clearly poorly maintained.
Spoke to staffs and they told us the hotel is at high occupancy but could show me 7 rooms to check.
First, why did I have to check 7 rooms when all I needed was 1 clean room?!
I even told the staff it was late already but he informed that I should still see the rooms for myself and obviously the rooms are all a let down.
The staff said to me about the price I paid for the deluxe room. This was so ridiculous that I told him that if I paid for a suite room, does it mean that my room is properly cleaned?!
The safe box was not working and the staff informed that most of the rooms are also not working. There is alot of basic things that are lacking here which needs to be looked into:
1) there was no manager on duty at night? The staff told me that I can only speak to a manager in the morning at 8am. So if something happens, should I even be worried on what will happen to the guests staying here?
2) at 12am, having the guest to view 7 rooms and all rooms are lacking
3) a kind staff offered to clean up a room for me which I am really thankful for, but shortly after we moved in just to rest for the day, a short circuit happened.
All in all, this is definitely not a called for experience and truly terrible one as well. Definitely something memorable but for sure I know I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone as I don’t wish for them to be paying a “cheap” price to get what they deserved.
Photos will be attached to see and judge for yourselves.

Unfortunately, this hotel has seen better days and currently suffers from poor maintenance, resulting in dirty and dated rooms with old furniture that emit bad odors. The towels provided were also smelly with a name written, which appears to be a Malay name. The limited breakfast options included fried rice, fried bihun, friend chicken and fish. That being said, the staff were polite and well-trained, delivering good customer service. However, the general atmosphere of the hotel was alarming as the hotel's banner was off during the night, giving the impression of a shutdown. The bar, lounge, and Chinese restaurant were closed with signs indicating that they were available for lease. Overall, it was a less than desirable experience.

Had frequently booked this hotel and it was great. However this time, there was a few hiccups and there wasn't any service recovery given at all. During first day of check in, we had to go up and down 3 times as key card won't work and door batteries had to changed and reconfigured. Still this was okay.

Had to room change from 5th floor on the second day as they had maintenance going on, we understood and it was fine for a room change to other floor.

However, when doing a room change, we were given a room that was already occupied and there was people in the room.

Had to go down twice to convince the reception there were people in room. Waited 30 mins to get things sorted out with all our luggage and items as we were doing room change.

Finally got our room 45 minutes later and just an apology was given. Abit disappointing for all the troubles we went through. Even asked for a late check out and was outright refused.

Was served by Razif, Erin and Rizal. No duty manager was present when all this happened. Considering double check in and double rooming is quite a serious taboo in a hotel.

Hopefully people don't experience what we experience.

I stay there for 3 days & 2 Nights . This is my 1st & LAST time staying in Harmoni One Hotel . Because :
1) Although I requested Early Check In 0800 hours , 1 month beforehand & made Several Calls to ensure that . In the END when I report at the reception girl 0800 hours , she said NO ROOM AVAILABLE at the moment . She said to me had to wait until 1400 hours for Check In . When I check in at 1400 hours , I saw there's a LOT of ROOMS AVAILABLE . I wasted 6 hours for that , POOR SERVICE .
2) The room & Hallways are quite Dark especially my HOTEL ROOM .
3) There is a MOSQUITO in my HOTEL ROOM .
4) The Bedsheet got STAIN MARKS & TORN .
5) In the Middle of the Night , I can hear like SomeOne TRY to OPEN my DOOR while I was SLEEPING . Luckily , I LOCKED the door & Don't Bother to see who's Outside as I'm Very Tired .
6) The Swimming Pool , 6th floor looks like a GHOST TOWN & Nobody swims in it & gives me the CREEPY FEELINGS when I walk around it .
7) Breakfast menu is BELOW AVERAGE .

Stayed 2D1N at the convention hotel, second time but due to fully book for a big convention so I have no choice but to be there again. Reception Is good but small room.

Emailed e in house massage Aruma and went massage in a group of four, suppose to relax n enjoy but met masseurs that just cannot stop talking throughout the 2 hours massage, a sheer torture I will say! After e massage, they told me they will need go wash their hands before head massage.. Waited for more than 15 mins for them to washed their hands, I have to pick myself up from the thin mattress, pulled the curtain n find them still blabbering as they stroll in! And guess what, I asked them if the place to wash is far n they told me they have not eat n so after washing n eating n they come back to us Eating into our time that we paid for! Exactly 2 hrs, they stand up n left the room.. I'm appalled at how they work..

Speaking to the massage room receptionist, I expressed my unhappiness at the service in their bahasa Indonesia that I can conversed in and a frequent traveller to batam, I will say a lot of the tourist stores staffs n boss knows me n no need to say more about the tour guides.
I usually tipped them well at the end of their service at any other parlour but this one in the 'good' hotel deserve not an extra penny!

In a time like this in e world, they chose not to believe I will
Share my unpleasant experience in all e travel channel.. N thanks to trip advisor for my reviews soon be a senior reviewer, which I hope my strict review helps In every place I being to..

I rate them terrible in service because already two weeks n no revert for a customer feedback. Here I am, sharing my experience w fellow travelers.

We purchased vouchers from deal and got a 2D1N ($78) plus one night extension ($40). This included a whole list of other stuff, like breakfast, half day tour etc. There was free breakfast on the two days we were there as well.

Harmoni One, according to our tour guide is quite new. In fact, in the three days we were there, we felt like it was just us staying in the hotel. We saw a few others but that was about it. There was one night when we had dinner in the hotel and we were the only ones, besides 4 other people. Not sure if this was because we were there on a weekday. Anyway, the exterior of Harmoni One looks really grand.

Check-in was fast and the lobby is very spacious. At night, there will be someone playing the piano and another person singing. As I said, because this place is so empty, it was just my friend and I listening to them at night. The staff at the counter are very friendly and can speak English.

If you are thinking of using the free wifi on your phone, the only possible areas are the lobby and the dining area. You can't access wifi in the room although there is a cable which you can connect to your laptop.

Room wise, we got the most basic of all, the Superior Room. A little small, but it's fine because we don't really need the extra space. However, if you want to upgrade to a bigger room, it does not come at a huge price tag. It's only $12 a night for more space!

From our room, we could look down to the lobby and because we stayed on the second floor, we had free music to listen to every night. TV programmes were rather comprehensive, with Singapore's channels as well as the usual ones like StarMovies, CNN etc. There was also a mini bar with free Coke and Sprite, and two bottles of mineral water.

Facilities wise, there is a gym, jacuzzi and swimming pool on the 6th floor (top floor). The architecture's interesting as well. The pool's a little small and the gym is well equipped. As part of our package, we also got to enjoy a free massage at the adjoining building.

As for our meals, breakfast wasn't great although there was quite a spread. There were crossaints, cereal, danish pastries, dim sum, sushi, mee goreng etc. Quantity wise, it was fine although they did not really refill the food. Quality wise, it was either average or slightly below average although the malay food was pretty good. We had dinner for one of our meals there, and it was quite cheap (around $5 SGD). But the food was a little salty and left us feeling thirsty after the meal.

As for this place's location, the only place that you can go is Megamall. And it's not mega at all although there's good food in the mall and a cinema. That's a 10-15 minute walk away and you don't need a taxi if you don't mind getting there on foot because it honestly isn't that far anyway (although it's almost definite that you will get honked incessantly by taxi drivers on the road asking if you want a ride.)

If you are looking for beaches, Turi Beach or Nongsa is around a $14 taxi ride away. And unless you can camouflage yourselves as one of their guests, don't even bother venturing in because we were informed that it is a "private beach" and only for people who stayed there.

In all, Harmoni One is a decent and clean place to stay at although it's out of the way from everything else except Megamall which honestly doesn't have much as well. So, depending on your agenda in Batam, see if Harmoni One is a good fit for you!

The various times we were there, rooms are big enough only for couples. We have an opportunity to hold a small meeting/gathering in our room for 08 (eight) adults and at least 2 were sitted on the beds, after pulling in another 4 chairs from other rooms. Please check with the apartment / hotel if they have these larger space for cribs & extra beds. It is a large hotel, & the staff are always thoughtful - make a request & possibly you get a comforting answer from them.

Free shuttle bus are available from the Hotel to popular malls. However, if you want a more casual slow look around Batam, the hotel do provide free rental bicycle for guest to use.
