Drove 12 hours to enjoy our family summer vacation and when we got there the water park was closed during the week. My 8 year was so disappointed. When we booked this vacation it did not mention that the park was closed during the week in the month of August. Neither online or on their website. Our site was nice and clean but I did pay more to have a lake view. The majority of the sites are not shaded and a little crowded as the sites are one on top of the other. We were also very disappointed to learn that once we got there we had to pay an additional $20 extra gate fee to get in to the resort. We found that ridiculous since the park is not cheap to begin with and the resort doesn’t even include or offer any amenities. Not even a pool for the entire resort for people to enjoy while the water park is closed. The capable channels they said they offered were not even working. They also only had one restaurant open in the facility which was not easy to access or recommended. Cheap food and expensive drinks. My family and I have stayed in many Margaritaville resorts in the past and it’s a shame that this place doesn’t even compare to any of the others. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

The Rv resort is very nice and clean, Our travel dates were August 7-14, all amenities the website advertised were closed. Although I understand there reasoning behind the closures, It is something that was not disclosed at the time of booking or on their website. Had it been disclosed, we most likely would have choose another resort. I do not recommend this resort for children, especially in August. Also There is no POOL!

I’ll try to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions. The RV resort (this is strictly limited to where you park your Camper) is beautiful and brand new. The roads are paved every site has a concrete pad and the grass is beautiful and well maintained. The CONS: There are NO amenities at the RV resort. NONE. If you want to do anything you have to go approximately a mile down to Margaritaville which is a complete Zoo on the weekends (which some people like). AND ITS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC -You definitely need to rent a golf cart or drive around in your car. To walk would take an hour. -A free beach pass is included in the RV resort rental and the beaches are very nice but bring a chair because finding an empty beach chair is very hard. At the beach is several food/snack options and drinks ( expensive). There’s bars also and Land shark restaurant. -you can rent a boat or jet skis right on the property (with a discount) but also about a mile from the RV resort. - There are NO POOLS for RV use. The only pools are in the water park which is about $35/day per person also down by the main area. -right now the RV resort has 2 sections (they’re actively building more). Each has a bath house severely lacking with only 1 men and 1 women’s shower. There was people waiting for showers several times. -And lastly there’s 1 laundry room for probably over a hundred campers. 2 Washing machines and 3 dryers that worked. Again...people waiting to do laundry There’s plenty to do if you don’t mind a busy beach with lots of people. The area is very nice and there’s some beautiful old towns to see (about an hour away). Plenty of stores and shopping in Buford. This Resort is very nice but needs a few Amenities just for RV use like a pool area.

The grounds are kept meticulous and every site has plenty of well-groomed, soft Bermuda grass lawns to play on. Nice concrete pads. However, what you get in green space around your site you lose in the spacing of sites to each other. Between many retaining walls and close sites, some sites are a real challenge to back a trailer or fifth-wheel into! But this is upper end camping and most people seemed to have the luxury RVs that are easier to back in. The only other thing you should know is there aren't many bath houses and each one has only one shower each per men's and women's so if you like showering in a spacious bath houses versus the tiny shower in your camper, get there early so you won't have to wait around on someone ahead of you. :)

Campground is not set up correctly, most are on edges of steep drop offs.views are ok on some sites.Store is not setup for campers. They charge for everything you choose to do including the beach area. Parking for beach and water park is on steep hills you walk down but then have to walk up. The people that rented golf carts still had to park them in the same lot as us. Not worth the money, we will not be back.
