I visited the hotel when working down Bristol, Devon and South Wales.
The hotel itself is a great location, being just of the M5, so easy commuting distance to where I needed to be.
They have everything in place in this strange time, and the staff are constantly cleaning.
The hotel is a little tired and could do with a spruce up, but the staff are what really make it.
Everyone is so friendly and will bend over backwards to keep you happy. The food is freshly prepared, breakfast is self service to an extent, with eggs and toast made fresh to order.
The pizzas were lovely, they even made us one in the day, when we stayed to work.

The rooms need updating and refreshed. I don’t think any rooms had baths, which I love to take but hey. You have to request for the tea, sugars, coffee, milks to be replaced each day and if you want the room cleaned, which I think they could do different, even if they had out so you could take, instead of having to request everyday. Saying that, the rooms are clean and tidy.

I have stayed in nicer places, but with not as nice staff, which when you stay away a lot with work, it means a hell of a lot.

So to the team there, and especially Megan (I think that was her name), thank you so much and I will come and visit again soon.

This is one of them all comfortable and upmarket service hotels that I've been to. I sent as a driver the one thing that we really all one after a long drive is somewhere safe warm and comfortable than our heads down and I think this place is nailed it well mostly. There are some weird quirks which I will get to in a minute. Let's start with the things, the hotel is extremely comfortable I mean the bed is just so so comfortable you can sleep in it all year. The hotel room was Modern clean warm with a heater in the corner by the window which has blackout curtain and net curtains with 2 mostly fully opening Windows which it's nice. At this service station Hotel we don't have to worry about the noise of the cars outside when the windows are open and the same goes for safety because I think this hotel achieves the making you feel safe tick box.

We did not try any food but we just try some drinks and they were really nice. They had a reasonably sized TV on the wall which is very difficult to watch because the bed was on the other side of the room I could understand that essentially our bed was facing a picture and the TV was on the far left of it. Also because of all the pictures in the room we ended up trying to watch TV but it is not watching it on all the pictures instead because the TV was so far left and the picture behind us was reflecting TV into the mirror in front of us it was very disconcerting and annoying and I don't think they thought about this period a whole when it comes to customers watching TV although I wouldn't worry about it too much because the majority of people are just going to be coming here to go to sleep.

My partner had an accident and the shower after their plughole cover wasn't tied down to anything and she fell and bumped her head and bust and shoulder and part of her back in the process they gave butterfree breakfast but I don't think this was fair given the circumstances and there will be taking it out with the hotel later..

Prices range from about £32 to £45 on your average standard normal day I can't speak for Peak rates or summertime rates but this is the average rate that it has been over the past couple of months.

This is an extremely comfortable hotel and we will be going back obviously people here so we get the best phrase we just we travel between London and Plymouth quite often by motorcycle and this hotel is somewhere in the middle thereabouts. I would highly recommend this hotel that's if you want a good night sleep perhaps just be little bit more unusual and pay attention to things in the shower because if things are broken you don't want to end up falling it really hurts and a hospital trip is no fun.

I'm going to give this a four out of five star because of the TV issuing and because of the shower issue.

I forgot to add the staff are extremely professional experience polite and very friendly. I just act like human and not like machines and I love that well done to the staff at this hotel.

I have stayed now at this hotel for 3 times in the paste of three months, staff are really helpful and go out of their way to assist you at any time, room are nice fresh and comfortable, impressively clean and housekeeping are always very helpful,
front lobby is a nice place to site and chat, and they serve food just now Monday to Thursday evenings, the menu has a good choice, and it is teste and always hot, they just started a Pizza evening service which is good if you feel hungry.

The complete Staff and Management at this Ramada Hotel are always willing to help with all requests.

COVID-19 awareness is high priority at this hotel, and masks are worn all the time, hand sanitizers are available from entering the hotel lobby, the Hotel stay to the rules where you need to justify just now during COVID-19 why you are staying at the hotel, this helps to provide reassurance that they take the virus as very seriously.

Count on us? We’re committed to the health and safety of our guests!
Best-in-class hygiene training for hotel staff?
These are a couple of the statements from Ramada Wyndham hotel’s website. What a joke!
We stayed at this hotel for one night, to attend a family funeral nearby. Due to lockdown rules, we were unable to stay with family, so booked a room at the Ramada hotel at the Gordano services. A well known ‘trusted’ hotel chain?! When we arrived we were given the wrong room. When we eventually got the room we had booked, we were extremely disappointed. The room was absolutely filthy. The white bedding and pillow cases had black mould stains all over them, the floor was dirty, all the sides were covered in dust and dirt, as was the chair. The bathroom also had hairs on the sides. Considering we are in the middle of a global pandemic, you’d expect cleanliness to be at the highest standard, not the lowest. We complained and were given another room! Again we had to lug all our belongings to the next room, with no help from anyone. This room was also dirty. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The carpet hadn’t been hoovered and was covered in bits of food etc. Bedding and surfaces were again disgusting. If it hadn’t been nearly midnight, we would’ve left, but with a very tired baby and a funeral to attend the next morning, we stayed the night. The staff member that was dealing with us that night, bought us a spray bottle of disinfectant and some cloths - so we could clean the room ourselves! Which we did, as we didn’t feel safe touching anything in the room. You don’t expect this when you pay over £100 for the room!
The next day when we checked out, my partner mentioned to the same member of staff, that the third room also wasn’t clean. The man said the reason was the hotel has no cleaners at the moment and that they wouldn’t be back until the end of August, so until then rooms aren’t being cleaned properly, as other hotel staff are doing the cleaning, and aren’t trained! We suggested that maybe the hotel had opened too early, in which the man replied ‘maybe’. There was no apology or anything! I have been so careful to try and keep my baby safe from the risk of coronavirus and I felt very unsafe in your hotel. I would not recommend staying here again.
I contacted the agent that this was booked through and they spoke to the hotel to get a refund/compensation, but they refused. Disgusting treatment.

For a supposed four star hotel I thought the room was rather basic. No tumblers (either glass or plastic) in the bathroom, Had to ask for an extra towel as they only supplied one between two of us. Toiletries in the bathroom were limited with a large dispenser of soap and one of shower gel/shampoo. I would also expect a supply of bottled water in the room as has been my experience with other four star hotels, at least to fill the kettle with. The carpets were dirty and stained and general cleanliness was of low quality - you can only blame so much on covid/staffing issues and for £95 a night I would expect better. The hotel had groups of 'twenty-somethings' running through the corridor all night, banging on doors and shouting at each other, to which the management seemed indifferent. All in all an awful place to stay!

I do not usually give bad reviews but on this occasion it is warranted. I paid €230 for 1 night 2 rooms so expected better than I got.. On arrival we was told the restaurant was closed but we could get food in the service station. KFC, burgerking or subway was not what we had in mind but that was OK. There was no information book in the room so we looked online for breakfast times it said till 11am so when I woke at 7 I took my time had a shower and went down at 10.03 only to be told breakfast finished at 10 so we couldn't have any. I understand with covid things change but the receptionist said we have always closed at 10am never 11. I told them I was disappointed but on deaf ears. I then emailed so they could at least change their website but even after sending them my confirmation from booking.com and my bank statement with proof of payment the room numbers etc they said they couldn't find my booking which made me think I am just being fobbed off. I paid online so I received no receipt from the hotel itself just my bank statement . an acknowledgement that their website needs updating would of been nice.
The bed was comfortable tho.

I am a visitor from Zimbabwe, and as a result of lock down 3, and a part time hotel closure elsewhere, I was faced with no option but to move down the road to Ramada Gordano, I was overwhelmed by the delightful reception from the hotel staff who were clearly operating under very difficult lock down guidelines.
To a man (and of course to a woman) each and every staff member went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and where possible, meet my every need.
My room was clean, pleasant, light and airy with excellent wall and ceiling lighting and plenty of electrical sockets for laptop use around the room and phone charging.
My daily rate was economic and demonstrated a commercial awareness of the fact that I may become regular visitor. They do listen!!
I eat at the hotel several times and can report that I enjoyed my occasional evening meals which reflected good value.
A truly well organised team of professionals, who do go out of their way to help

We chose the Ramada as one of the closest 'value' overnight stops to tide us over for a midnight arrival at Bristol airport. First impression is that the hotel is basic and some of the decor looks very tired, but you get a warm welcome, with a 24 hour reception and a bar which was still open past midnight. Our room was simple and quiet, it isn't anything special, but everything worked - so we got a good nights sleep. The shower is great though! We didn't find a lift, so chose to hump our cases up to the first floor room, which was easier than wandering back to reception as it was late. That wouldn't have worked for an older couple. We definitely recommend the breakfast - with a fair choice of cereals and fresh fruit or continental options, and the traditional full english, which we chose, and it was delightful! All hot & freshly cooked, and served with a smile by the chef Stoyan. Full marks. It's worth mentioning that we've just come back from a week in a 5 star spa resort in Crete, so we've been a bit spoiled, but Abbie and Becky did an exceptional job keeping the breakfast area shipshape and it really was a pleasurable start to our journey home. TIP: signposting for the hotel is very poor, particularly in the dark, and we drove twice round the site before we ended up driving the wrong way into the hotel parking area. Confusingly, it is signposted as "Welcome Break Hotel" (not Ramada), and if you miss the turning you have to go back out round the motorway roundabout and back in. So good luck!!! Nevertheless, this hotel does what it says on the tin, and we'd happily stay again.

I had a really good stay. Its never easy without your own pillow but i managed with what i had been given. The rooms were perfect for what I needed, however the sink in the bathroom was small to shave in, especially as the tap restricts your access. the shower was great.
The restaurant food was very good and there was plenty of choice. Great atmosphere and value for money. Breakfast was really good too, however there were no egg choices!

The access to the hotel can be easily missed so maybe look at improving signage. Great time though and i will be back.

Disliked · no major issues.

For the price a very grim experience. Looking very tired with stained and threadbare carpets. Soap dispensers in bathroom not refilled. We had to ask for towels as only catered for one occupancy thou clearly booked for 2.
Lounge area dirty with no cleaning tables or seating area. But the noise from 4 am was terrible people banging on our door shouting in corridors and the room above appeared to have clog dancers in!!!
