We arrived at the park after booking online to find out that the park was full. We were leaving our home in the Savannah area, fleeing from hurricane Matthew. When we got to the campground,Jeb, the camp manager told us to find a spot in the day park and that he would see what he could find. He could have...

We stayed in the RV campground at this park. A pleasant surprise to most state parks - this site had cable TV. Water pressure is good and the RV Dump Station is located near the entrance which is convenient for when you are leaving. We were in a 32ft Class A, but it appeared that this park can handle larger...

We camped here in July 2016. Our RV site was lakefront, clean, big, well kept, and a nice distance from neighbors. Still close enough to be neighbourly but enough for conversation to be private. It had a nice picnic table and fire pit. Convenience of water and electricity but no sewer hookup. They do provide a dump station. They have...

We were to stay 4 nights. The first night over $500.00 worth of things were stolen. The gate was broke and would not close. About 3am the camp host saw a car come in and did not investigate, it parked 2 lots from us and soon left. The next morning our things were gone. We reported it but was told...

We enjoyed camping on the lakeside at camping area 2 at campsite #1. Front side of camper has lots of privacy and nothing but woods. Restrooms were very clean and the staff was awesome! We plan to come back soon!

A large group of families came here to camp together. We all got spots on the lake. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful! We kayaked, fished, hung in hammocks and sat by the fire. March was the perfect time to come. It wasn't too hot or too cold. Also, keep in mind that much later we would have had...

I just came from Florida where I got a campground with full hookups for 20 bucks a night with a immaculate bathroom/shower building. At this park I got a senior rate of 28 bucks down from 35 a night for water and electric hookups and a well worn bathroom/shower building! The had good kayaks to rent at a very reasonable...

Arrived on Friday afternoon to almost full campground. Had called on Thursday to inquire about reservations. Oh they are not needed stated the receptionist, we have many empty sites. As stated upon arrival only ten sites of 77 remaining and since it is on a first come basis even with reservations, the remaining sites were not by water but were...

We stopped over here for just one night on our way from Florida to Tennessee. The campground was clean, bathrooms were average (and average cleanliness), but the gnats were TERRIBLE! Obviously that has no reflection on the park itself, but I do not recommend staying in this part of Georgia in the summertime. The park grounds were beautiful with sites...

Recently, some of my sorority sisters met in Cordele for a fun weekend. The rooms were nice and there was a beautiful view of Lake Blackshear frfom our deck. The beds are double so make sure you only put two in a room! The restaurant had exceptional food, I loved the Prime Rin and the Creme Brulee was heavenly.
