Greyfield Inn is out of the way and that's a great reason to visit. The boat ride to/from the Inn and the National Seashore was an enjoyable part of the journey. Our room was on the top floor with a high four-poster bed (step provided). The meals were delicious and our fellow travelers were very social. Bicycle rides, naturalist tours...

So cool to stay at a place that has remained in the family. The hosts were kind and helpful. The inn was first class, Everything was done well, starting with the boat ride to the island, The food was fantastic. We met some very interesting and fun people. The island itself is absolutely beautiful, I loved walking on a large...

It's is very hard to improve on the wonderful reviews that The Greyfield Inn has accumulated.Cumberland Island is now park of the National Park System but the descendants of the Carnegie s still host a limited number of lucky visitors who get to share in the wonder and beauty of nature and a time gone by in the magical time...

Our second trip to Greyfield Inn was just as magical as our trip last year. The first year we did everything possible: road bikes, took three nature/historical tours, visited the gardens, and did some kayaking. This year we slowed down and simply enjoyed island time. We sat on the beach, read books on the porch, attended the oyster roast, saw...

Going to stay at the Greyfield Inn had been on my wife's bucket list for some time. We finally booked it and are so glad we did. Some bucket list items you are worried they may not turn out to be worth it--that was certainly NOT the case here. We had an amazing time at the Greyfield Inn and would...

A wonderful weekend, unlike any we've experienced before. We made new friends and met old ones. Lovely people who own and run the inn. Felt like family. Would recommend for a memorable weekend to couples.

I agree with all the other reviewers. Both the Inn (classy but down to earth) and the Island were one of the most magical places I have ever been. Definitely one of my top five experiences in a lifetime of travel throughout the world and my favorite hotel and location in the United States. A real undiscovered paradise without all...

If I could run away from the world forever, this is where I would go. My husband and I have recently returned from celebrating our 29th anniversay at Greyfield, the 4th time we have celebrated here over the years. The island is astonishingly beautiful and because of its protected status, it seems destined to stay that way. Very few private...

We stayed at the greyfield inn to celebrate my 50th birthday. What a treasure! The inn itself was just lovely. The staff was so welcoming and we were fed the best meals. We had a naturalist Christina show us the island 2 of our days. She was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We got to see Dungenous, Plumb Orchard and the...

Please don't miss the opportunity in life to experience Cumberland island. And doing so at The Greyfield Inn makes the experience wonderful. We go every fall for our anniversary trip and have that "inner peace" moment when we see the island. The staff, the dining, the house, the island... It's awesome.
