This is one of the many homes built on Cumberland by the Carnegie descendants. It is now run as a hotel, and as such, is the only overnight accommodations on the island other than camping. Cumberland Island is a wonderful place, and should be on everyone's bucket list. It has one of the few pristine beaches on the East Coast,...

I brought my husband to spend 3 nights at the Greyfield Inn for his 50th birthday. It was a wonderful experience filled with beautiful surroundings, fabulous food and a friendly staff. We enjoyed the included excursions to the other parts of the island with the naturalist as it is truly beautiful and mostly unspoiled. The history of the area is...

We spent our 10th on Greyfield and wanted to come back for our 20th. I am so pleased that we did. Cumberland is magical, in every way and every season. The Greyfield does an excellent job of making you feel "at home" vs being a guest. The staff was warm, welcoming and would go out of their way to make...

Every aspect of our visit was so enjoyable. The meals were prepared by a world class chef. Our room was spacious and charming. The staff was friendly and efficient. Meeting the owner manager, a Carnegie family member, was an unexpected treat. I took four trips led by the Greyfield Inn naturalist tour guides; my wife joined us on two. All...

The Greenfield Inn earns an excellent because it is an incredible, unique experience that is so easy to get to. The highlights of the experience is a 12 mile completely undeveloped beach, dramatic live oak trees all around and stunning as a forest when on the roads away from the Inn, and getting to spend time in this old historic...

The Greyfield Inn is a magical place of hospitality on an enchanted island. The place is seeped in history, natural and man made. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is excellent. A wonderful place to leave the cares of the 21st century behind, to reunite with friends and family, and to meet new friends.

My husband and I enjoyed a day trip to the Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island. This is a beautiful place to relax. The owners greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the Inn. The picnic lunch was delicious. We chose to walk instead of the bikes that are offered. We had a truly relaxing day viewing...

Should be on everyone's bucker list. Amazing understated escape to another world. I have never felt so relaxed , so pampered yet in a homey laid back way. Amaxing food, amazing service, amazing scenery. Pricey but well worth it.

Second visit to Greyfield Inn (3 other day trips to Cumberland Island with Park Service over the years) so we knew what we were getting into. Beautiful place, naturally and otherwise. Friendly staff who make every attempt to make your visit pleasant and meaningful. Naturalists accompany you on hiking and truck trips across the island and explain the island's history...

My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend at the inn. It is absolutely beautiful and the innkeepers and staff are gracious and welcoming. We toured both the northern and southern parts of the island, and kayaked in the marsh with the naturalist who was very knowledgable. I did not expect the inn to be similar to a bed and...
