My husband and I recently spent a Friday and Saturday night at the FHR in one of the cabins with the hot tub inside. The Pros: the area is absolutely beautiful, and FHR is nestled up in the mountain. If you want peace and quiet, you'll get it. FHR is about a 20 minute drive from Dahlonega, but I counted...

Great trip-loved thehorseback riding! Would like to visit again in the fall. The food was AMAZING!!! Staff was very helpful. I liked that we didn't have to stay both Saturday and Sunday night, like most other places would require.

This was an anniversary weekend getaway for my wife and I. We had stayed at this resort 30 years ago when we celebrated our 9th anniversary. While we did not have the same cabin it appeared that the furnishings, apart from the tv and refrigerator were could have been the same. Fortunately, we arrived on a day where the temperature...

My husband and I were married at Forrest Hills 8 years ago (3/12/05) and it was a wonderful experience then. When we were thinking of something to do this year for our anniversary, it only seemed natural...and sentimental...to return to the place where we were married! We are so glad that we did. The luxury cabin we stayed in was...

This was our 2nd trip to Forrest Hills, and in this case, the sequel was every bit as good as the premiere. As others have stated - if you're seeking 5-star resort status with a concierge at every turn, this is not the place. But if you and your honey want to steal a few days away in seclusion, with...

My boyfriend and I visited Forrest Hills in early February for a romantic getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was cozy and had everything we wanted - a full kitchen, sitting area, fireplace, and hot tub. There was also a small covered porch with a swing. It was the perfect atmosphere for romance. We recommend booking your...
