My niece gave me the gift of a weekend in the North Georgia mountains as a thank you for helping her organize her wedding. I usually take a trip through the mountains in the fall, and so this was a great opportunity to take advantage of her gift. What a pleasant surprise to come here! We were warmly greeted by...

The Cedar House Inn and Yurts is about as welcoming as it gets! Mary Beth and Fred welcome you to their rustic B & B with fresh baked cookies, homemade chai, and their sweet dog and cat. The Inn is in a forested area off Rt. 19 just north of Dahlonega, and very near to the best wineries and hiking...

My wife and I decided to spend our first anniversary at the Cedar House in and Yurts - we were not disappointed. I can't say enough about this B&B and it's owners, Fred and Mary Beth. The stay was relaxing, Mary Beth's breakfasts were spectacular, it's near all the good hikes and wineries - just amazing. We stayed in a...

Everything about the Cedar House Inn and Yurts is special. First of all, we knew Mary Beth and Fred were very conscious of the environment surrounding their inn from their web page. What we learned was that they were just as concerned about our health and well being. Mary Beth served delicious breakfasts and snacks in the evening that were...

This was my second stay at the inn. The first time I stayed in a yurt and this time I stayed at the inn, and both experiences were just what the doctor ordered. I am a professional care giver (massage therapist) and I need to get away from time to time to relax and renew. Cedar House provides a warm...

My fiancee and I had our first B&B experience here and it could not have gone better. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in every aspect of the trip. We stayed in the Cardinal suite for two nights and were more than pleased with the accommodations. Mary Beth and Fred made it easy to feel at home. I can't...

My sister and I had a girls weekend taking place in Dahlonega - we specifically picked Cedar House because of the yurt and we were NOT disappointed. Very cozy (having the compost toilet in the yurt was an added benefit) - neat experience. The fans in the yurt were just fine to cool it down and sleeping was very comfortable....

While planning a last minute getaway for the weekend, we searched for B&B's close to Helen, GA that had great reviews on Tripadvsior. We found Cedar House, and they had availability in their Carolina Suite. The booking process was very smooth and quick. Cedar House is about 30 miles from Helen, so it was not as close as we originally...

We stayed at the Inn for five nights in April while attending a niece’s wedding and touring the wineries and other attractions in the area. Our room was large, comfortable, and immaculate, not cute or frilly as some B&Bs tend to be. Mary Beth’s breakfasts were excellent – imaginative and flavorful. While we did not stay in a yurt we...
