Stayed one night before starting on the Wicklow Way towards Dublin. The hostel is a nice small stone cottage in walking distance from Clonegal. Basic breakfast – cereals – included. Quite cozy for a hostel. Priced as a B&B. The owner Sheila appears helpful and also a welcoming talkative lady. All though our feeling was that professional courtesy describes it...

Unlike other reviews, I did not stay here at the end of the Wicklow Way. I completed the Wicklow Way a few times but always came straight home on the last day. But I always wanted to try the great restaurant in Clonegal " Sha Roe" which meant I had to stay and where better than in Sheila Kirwans hostel....

We had no idea where Clonegal was when we booked into this place and were taking a very big risk in choosing this place to finish off our 2 day mountain-bike trek of the Wicklow Way. We rang Sheila, the owner, who gave us the directions just past the top of Clonegal village and were given a very warm welcome....

Sheila & Joe Kirwan have opened the Clonegal Hostel in Clonegal. It is the perfect location to recover from the Rigors of the wicklow way. Myself and two pals cycled the Wicklow way in 2 Days for Charity. Sheila could not do enough to make us feel comfortable, the accomodation is serious value for money and really homely. Thanks Again...

A short distance outside of Clonegal. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed, not only for the comfort and ambience but also for the hospitality of Sheila Kirwan and the value. I stayed here after completing the Wicklow Way in october 2012. It was the perfect end to an incredible journey. A small stone cottage which from the...

Had a lovely time here with Joe & Sheila. We arrived in clonegal, pretty exhausted having completed the wicklow way. It was 8pm on a cold night in january and everything was closed. They opened up their hostel especially for us, not only that, they opened up their home to us too. We had such a nice evening chatting with...

I travled to Ireland to walk the Wicklow Way but when I arrived in Clonegal I had a cold so it wasn't possible for me to do it anymore so I asked my hostes if I could stay for a little bit longer. I had luck so I could spent a wonderful week in this small cottage. Except one night...

We were so lucky to find this wonderful cottage for a long weekend. I cannot recommend enough the beauty of the cottage along with the surrounding village and landscape. We used the cottage for some local walks in the area however I now know the cottage is at the beginning or end of the wicklow way depending on which direction...
