Stayed for 2 nights. Everything as promised on the website. Great buffet breakfast and dinner. Only complaint is that, although there were probably not more than 50 guests, we were givrn a room located above huge, noisy electric vents that kept waking us up at night. Sounded like a lawnmower outside our window. A pity, as one comes here to... More

At the last minute we were searching for a place to eat Thanksgiving Dinner. A traveler recommended that the Unicoi State Park Restaurant was open for Thanksgiving. What an answer to prayer. We were traveling back from our stay in Watkinsville for our 25th anniversary on Thanksgiving Day. Good news the front desk at the lodge stated that walk-ins were... More

Wife and I came for Thanksgiving weekend, arriving on T-day and staying 4 nights. This is our first time staying in the lodge. On our previous visits we stayed for a whole week in the barrel cabins, which are really fun for a young family. Anyway, the lodge room was fine - clean, and nice sized. I was a little... More

My husband and I stayed at the Unicoi Lodge for our anniversary trip to Helen. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very nice man at the front desk. However, the niceness of our trip really ended there. We got checked in and went to our room in the "D" hall. The room was very run-down and in need of... More

The park has wonderful views. The trails are great. It does get a bit crowded but once your out on the trails you have plenty of space. Bring your camera to document the sights. Really close to downtown Helen but still feels secluded.

We visit the campgrounds at Unicoi every year in October. It is close to the Octoberfest festivities in Helen, and we find it more enjoyable to be out in nature then cooped up in a lodge or motel. The campground facilities are very nice, bathrooms are always well maintained. We've pulled a camper one year but usually just set up... More

The lodge is located in a state park. It is a beautiful property and easy to find. There are five (5) buildings four (4) of which are guest buildings the other being guest registration, restaurant and meeting rooms. We arrived after dark and due to very little lighting found it hard to locate the building (C) that our room was... More

My wife and I stayed at the lodge (Building D/top floor) the weekend of 10/20 through 10/23 and were joined by another couple staying in an adjoining room. Hands down, the location of the lodge on a mountain top provided breathtaking views that "ooo'ed and aahh'ed" us every day we were there. Be prepared however to haul your luggage up... More

Friendly service, comfortable room in lodge, common area of lodge very nice (seemed recently redecorated). Pretty park. Was there for a reunion and the picnic shelter area was very picturesque- by mountain stream. Liked the high ceilings in our room.

The lodge and park were beautiful. We loved the wonderful mattress in our lodge room. We slept so well! Only wished that we'd had another comfy chair for reading, etc. We enjoyed the meals in the restaurant as well as the sitting areas at the lodge. We'll definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Thank Jane M
