My husband and I returned to Thonga for the second time and found it even better than before. The rooms are beautiful and the beach is so close with excellent snorkeling. The highlight for me was the excellent food, especially the freshly baked cake each afternoon.

We spent the most amazing few days at Thonga Beach Lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation suited our needs and the environment perfectly. The lodge is cleverly-hidden by the trees and right on the beautiful, unspoiled and uncrowded beach with a wooden deck if you don't want to sit on the sand. We saw the turtles...

It is a wonderful retreat which is a 'civilised distance from civilisation' and we are thrilled you enjoyed your stay here. Seeing the turtles is indeed a priviledge and a highlight. We would love to see you again, and especially to see the hatchlings. All the best for a wonderful 2017 Regards, Dee Wilson

Booking a perfect honeymoon can be somewhat taxing. The worry that the chosen location will live up to you and your brides expectations is a worry but I am seriously glad that I chose Thonga. From the moment we arrived till the moment we departed was just loads of fun! I would definitely stay for 4 days or longer as...

Its true the setting of the lodge is fabulous, the staff is very friendly and the food is good. Nevertheless it lacks management capabilities. We have been to many lodges on our long trip to southern Africa. We know what we can expect and what not and we also take into account the relatively remote situation of the lodge. However...

Dear HPB8803 Thank you so much for taking the time to write very constructive feedback. We apologise that our service on many levels did not meet your expectations. Many of the items you raise here are indeed inexcusable and we have escalated this to the most senior management who have been investigating these things. Systems will certainly be put in...

We recently stayed at Thonga beach lodge for our honeymoon, and were absolutely blown away by the place, from the moment we arrived we felt like absolute royalty. Purity the hostess met us and was super friendly for our entire stay. Nothing was too much effort for the staff...from a private dinner at the swimming pool to providing us with...

We stayed for three nights with our two teenagers (separate rooms) and found the Lodge just perfect for us Lots for us all to do - separately and together. The rooms are extremely comfortable with great beds and linens. The food was the best of all of the Isibindi lodges we stayed in on this trip and the kitchen did...

Beautiful setting on KZN's north coast. What a wonderful surprise. Unspoilt beaches, wonderfully appointed villas, fantastic service. The (free) sunset drive to Lake Sibaya was a treat, as was the turtle watching (between 2300 and 130am) under moon lit sky was like a dream. Awesome dive, revealing Black tip shark, turtles, crayfish and eels. This resorts initiative to train and...

Glad your "Polar Bear" enjoyed the outing! You have described Thonga so beautifully. We are both thrilled and rather envious of your midnight turtle viewing. That must have been magical and a memory you cherish forever. Please come and see us again. Dee
