This was a very nice stay and we have excellent memories from it. The burmese staff is very smiley and friendly.
Do not expect a luxury getaway though. The common areas are quite dusty but it seems in the middle of the jungle, spider webs...More
The room that we booked is 'dhamma'. The host was really kind to text us to inform us the light system, to go up the hill before we drove our car up the hill. The road was really steep and has a lot of sharp...More
This place was a monumental disappointment. As much as I could not wait to see it, I wanted to run away even faster.

Aside from the trail (which is a lovely walk), there is not much else around Malihom. But that is the main point and joy of the place - to get away from everything. Wear bug spray all over if you go on the trail!

July is their durian season. The General Manager James is probably the only person who is available to pick up the durians. I am sure he is willing to accommodate your request if no other guests object to having durians there. I am a durian lover. But I find it most offensive of the smell left behind in the car or room after placing durians there. So I would recommend that you make a trip out and have as much durian as you like at the plantations. The costs will be most affordable. Just ask James.
