We had a fantastic 4 night stay. Our converted rice barn accommodations were so lovely and very comfortable. We were totally pampered during our stay. James, the manager, made sure we had everything we needed. Joel and the rest of the staff couldn't have been nicer. Everything was extremely clean, including the pool. The food served was outstanding and varied.... More

I have to agree with a previous reviewer who said this place has so much potential. We stayed here for only one night and regrettably, in the five weeks I have been in Malaysia, Singapore and Bali this was the hotel that offered the least value for money. It is in a beautiful location and it has echoes of being... More

Unfortunately i felt that this place missed the opportunity to be really amazing. Its in a unique location, the general service staff are nice, food is nice. But the rooms were not clean and not maintained which is a big issue, also bathroom toiletries had not been properly replenished prior to our arrival. Felt quite let down unfortunately. The basics... My girlfriend and I stayed here as her birthday treat between 20-22 May 2016 and we weren't disappointed. The road up to the estate is narrow in parts and winds back and forth to ascend the hill but once you reach the summit you are there. The staff are professional and friendly and offer fantastic service. The food menu has... More

This place really exceeded my expectations. Living in Singapore, I'm always looking for weekends away that are easy to access. This resort manages to be totally away from it all and so serene, yet less than 30 mins drive from Penang airport. Side note, advise you take the airport transfer. It's more than double the cost of a taxi, but... More

This is a very nice and relaxing resort. The resort is beautiful and the attention to detail with the creative building of the structures was fab. Any of the barns would be good as they all have fabulous views, some of the city and some of the ocean and islands. We stayed in a sunrise room and it was was... More

Our whole stay was arranged through emailing the manager who turned out to be our personal butler as well. He arranged for a private pickup at the airport followed by his staff picking us up at the foot of the hill. The same staff checked us into our so special accomodation. The manager then talked to us during dinner which... More

The stay at this resort made our visit to Penang worthwhile. The place is beautifully kept, and the atmosphere is quite tranquil and relax. We rented a car during our stay in Penang, and if you don't mind narrow steep roads, this option helps you get the most out of your stay. Just remember to press the light signal button... More

It sounds like a crazy idea, but it works perfectly: ship 8 small Thai rice barns to Pinang and put them on the top of a hill to create a resort! We stayed in one of those barns for two nights and we would not want to miss it. The tranquil atmosphere up here was just the right thing to... More
