to my My wife and I were travelling through Italy and Switzerland for our honeymoon. We stopped here to eat lunch and couldn't believe what a beautiful hotel this was in an amazing setting. Lake Brienz is an awesome blue/green color and was right below us. The waterfalls were right in front of us, the lunch was delicious. I went... More

The hotel is in a fantastic place with wonderful views of lake, mountains and waterfalls. Already the route with ship and cable car is impressive. All rooms are well maintained and are witness to the hotel tradition of the 19th century. The service is excellent in all respects. The kitchen and the cellar maintain both regional and international specialties with... More

Wow, what an amazing property. The entire experience transports you to a different time. From piano music every evening to the old keys to the classy breakfast spread, everything takes you back in time. It also helps that the property is stunning from a location perspective. One of the top 10 hotels I've ever stayed. Rooms have an older feel... More

Wonderful location, service was appropriated, we had nothing to complain about excepted for a very full ashtray at the lower entrance. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, the decoration was also very stylish and original. Would any time again book there. Best regards Chris

Gorgeous views, excellent service, amazing experience! Our balcony had a view of both the waterfall and the lake. The room was incredibly spacious, and very comfortable. We have a king at home, but this bed was something else...we were in heaven! We ate at the Park Restaurant and it was excellent. Another day, we also bought the "lunch boxes" and... More

Historic hotel on the lake, across from a waterfall, accessible by boat and finicular if you prefer, it is the epitome of the grand hotels of the 1930s ad 40s. Outstanding breakfast and staff. Dinner at the restaurant was also memorable and the prices were not as outlandish as expected. Suite of room options made it affordable. More an "experience"... More
