Thank heavens we have stayed at Sea Island before, so we knew to ask for the very best accommodations... the Beach Club! The Beach Club has it all -- 2 great pools for families, family hot tub, fun water slide, private adult pool & adult hot tub, cool play area for kids and adults (including shuffle board!), and 5 miles...

This is why this property continues to get ranked as a top hotel in the world! I have been fortunate to travel all around and visit many "top ten" resorts, and this is my favorite!! The laid back environment, the southern charm, the hospitality, you just can't beat it! We planned on taking our kids to Turks and Caicos this...

We are not used to staying at hotels and prefer to rent villas for more space and privacy. However, due to Zika we were limited in our options for our Babymoon but were pleasantly surprised at our experience at The Cloister. Within a day we were totally relaxed from our crazy work week.. we stayed 3 nights and were sad...

We were here for my wife's 60th birthday. Staff were phenomenal in their attention to helping you feel welcomed and valued. Room was very large with high ceilings, a separate large vanity area with closets before entering the bathroom with large tile shower and deep tub. Bed was comfortable and the turn down service was great (a chocolate "coin" with...

My daughter and granddaughter, age 7, went to The Cloister for a spa weekend and enjoyed every minute! Having a place that the children could have a facial and massage was the ticket, as the girl have been begging for the experience, My daughter and I loved our treatments, as well. The attention to detail and service was about my...

Thank you for posting your comments. We are of course very pleased that your visit was so enjoyable. Service and family are very important to us, so it’s good to know that your family experienced that first hand. We hope to see you again soon.

It stays hot in costal Georgia well into October so coming the weekend after Labor Day was no exception minus the crowds (yay!) and our first visit to Sea Island was lovely! Very family friendly hotel with wonderful accommodations and true southern hospitality service from hotel staff, servers and beach club staff. We can't wait to go back again and...

THE CLOISTER IS A SECRET WINTERTIME RESPITE Luxury Resort properly with shades of John D. Rockefeller curetted with overtones of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. The Cloister is one remarkable resort designed to satisfy discerning guest with style and charm. The property and staff are exceptional and a secret wintertime respite and a bargain compared to the Ritz or Bristol in...

Sea Island is extravagant. While we enjoyed the activities which are great for tweens, it was so expensive overall and I had remorse for quite some time over the final bill. The activities we enjoyed were a sunset yacht cruise (loved), deep sea fishing charter (we didn't get the best guide- ask for Max instead), horseback riding on the beach,...

Thank you very much for visiting and for posting your comments. From time to time, we do recycle sand as part of our ongoing beach management program, and the work can continue for several days each year or two. I apologize if we did not make you aware of what was being done prior to you settling into your room....

My wife and I have stayed at the Broadmoor, Greenbrier and Cloister, arguably three of the most distinguished family resorts in the world. Each has its own identity but they have something in common: first-class lodging, dining and service. So what do you prefer, the American West, the mountains of West Virginia or the Atlantic Ocean? The Cloister at Sea...

The staff is absolutely superb, and might rank as an all time high for quality in our history of travel. Friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, we can't say enough about the Cloister team. The facility itself is simply gorgeous and supports a wide array of activities and restaurants. We stayed in a river view room, which was large and spacious, and...
