I stayed here before catching my flight to Miri. The hotel is a new one, located near the waterfront and only a few minutes walk to the town centre. Not a typical Seri Malaysia you may find in Peninsular Malaysia as I think the quality of this hotel is slightly better. Staffs were friendly, room was comfy enough, and the...

I'd had the chance to stay over for free during a 3-days course I had the privilege of attending. The staff members were nice. My aunt and I got a Standard Double bedroom on the 3rd floor facing the waterfront. Was mildly surprised of how spacious the room was. It was also clean and includes a TV set, a mini...

It was raining heavily when we checked in that night. We were soaked and nobody at the door to assist us. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean but the end of hallway, in front of the elevator was wet because of the rain. That night, we ordered steaks for dinner and boy, the restaurant...

For the traveller. There's not a lot of people that go through Lawas - but we did on the way to a far flung Jungle in Sarawak to see rare birds and mammals. 2 nights here were the bread in a week up a mountain, rain soaked sandwich. So on returning to a hot shower - working wifi and a/c...

Stopped in Lawas town overnight on way from Brunei to Sabah with a group of 35. Hotel was ok but a bit run down. Rooms were OK. Had good buffet dinner with group. Breakfast was average. Nice Location by the river.

I was staying here on 17th Sep with a group(14ppl) of vegetarian, we've arranged our request with front desk about morning vegetarian breakfast. However there were no vegetarian breakfast prepared on the next day, the reason was the front desk didn't informed the restaurant/kitchen. We have no choice to accept it, and end up eating pure porridge, roti canai with...

We were here for two nights en route to Ba'Kelalan from Miri. Normally we would skip this town and fly straight to Ba'Kelalan but this time around we had to run some errands and spent two nights in this hotel. This is a huge hotel. This is the best venue for seminars and wedding functions to be held and is...

Lawas is a small town, and this hotel provides what you need most at its comfortable rate and position. Its ideally walking distance to the town and only 3 minutes drive to airport. For anyone planning to drive between Brunei and Kota Kinabulu, you will need to plan an overnight stop as the 6 passport controls/border crossings will exhaust you. After a lot of research by far the best option was Seri Hotel, Lawas. Lovely staff, very reasonable price, tired hotel but the great breakfast and multi skilled head chef was amazing.
