We really liked the bed, great sleep, Breakfast terrific really enjoyed all of the egg dishes & the homemade granola was my favorite. Each evening upon returning wine was on ice & made available. We loved sitting on the veranda & either visiting with other guests or enjoyed the quiet & decompressed. We utilized a couple of the bikes &... More

This inn is in a wonderful location, close enough to walk downtown, but quiet and peaceful. The inn is beautifully decorated and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. There is also a blackout shade. We stayed in the room with the bath across the hall, which is an inconvenience, no doubt. However, the bath is just yours, has room... More

We decided to return to this lovely spot to grab a serenity timeout. We knew from a previous stay that the setting would be impeccable and peaceful. Situated in the Garden neighborhood of Coeur d'Alene The McFarland offers tree covered walks to downtown district for a variety of restaurants, gallery visits and leisurely shopping. The sunroom and family room hosts... More

My husband and I stayed in the McFarland Inn for 3 nights over 4th of July to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time staying at a B&B. The property is very charming. It is about 6 blocks from downtown Couer d'Alene in a residential neighborhood. We loved that we were able to park our vehicle and walk during... More

Four of us just spent three nights at this 1905 home in CDA. Nancy, the proprietress, runs a wonderful spot. The rooms are beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The house has obviously had some updating over the years, including great en suite bathrooms. A special touch are the great breakfasts, something different every morning, and a great willingness to cook... More

We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and have some pretty strong opinions about what we do and do not like. Nancy has really thought through what guests like. The home was built in 1905 but completely updated. It is lovely in a tree-lined older, quiet neighborhood. Each of the five bedrooms are large with wonderful beds and their... More

My husband and I stayed one night for our wedding Anniversary. At first look, the outside of the home is just a regular house. Once we got inside though, it was gorgeous and perfectly maintained for the time period. Our room was spacious and comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed wine and fruit on the back deck that we had... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in a truly beautiful location. Nancy is kind, gracious, and very thoughtful. She wakes early to provide a delicious continental breakfast. We actually had to leave early one morning, before the typical breakfast hour. We would have been quiet content with just a cold breakfast but she considered our situation and provided a... More

While the inn itself was adequate and the breakfast good, the room had no A/C and the window would not open. The biggest detraction was what I would call the lack of "curb appeal". The house next door was derelict and the neighborhood in general was somewhat sketchy.

I have never been so surprised and saddened by a review. I do not understand this one. First of all, there are some inaccuracies I would like to clear up. The windows in every guest room open. The window in this couple’s room opens very easily. There is central air conditioning in the home. This couple stayed the night of... More

Nancy's homemade granola was WONDERFUL (my favorite ever!), as was ALL of her breakfast food! She made a leek/zucchini quiche with apple-chicken sausage that was so good the first day and breakfast enchiladas a second day! She was accommodating. She was always so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. And, she has a nice array of very nice bikes that were great... More
