We stayed here for 3 nights and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking tranquility after the hustle and bustle of The attractions of Venice. The service is impeccable and charming and the food is absolutely divine. We were also delighted in the comfort provided in our room and really appreciated the complimentary hourly boat service to the city each...

We had an fantastic experience at this hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff very friendly. They arrange tickets and boat travels whenever you need and wherever you need. Staff is always ready to meet your needs whatever what. Couldn't brag enough about this hotel. We'll definitely come back, but then with our kids. They have to experience Venice...

I stayed in the Excelsior when it was at full capacity for a week and beginning of the season. The property is a unique old Moorish style castle-like building. Arriving by boat to a magical pier that leads straight to an underground entrance to the grand building lends drama to the experience. The entrance lobby is stately grand and the...

We stayed here to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and had a lovely stay. The Hotel Excelsior is a great base for a stay in Venice, providing a peaceful airy environment away from the hectic main island. The pool is refreshing, the views lovely and the history unique. Undoubtedly the most beautiful asset this hotel has is the enchanting dock...

i booked this hotel as a gift to myself because it was my birthday and I am in Venice, all the way from Seattle. The very main reason why I booked this was the Pool, unfortunately the pool was closed and I was very disappointed. The man on the lobby told me that it might open the next day, but...

Dear Kimmy K, thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel. We are terribly sorry the pool was not ready when you arrived as the hotel had just opened for the season. We found one of the filtering systems was not working which caused the delay. Please accept our sincere apologies. The satisfaction of our guests is our...

We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. We chose the Lido to provide a retreat from the bustle of Venice and were glad that we did. The Hotels complimentary water taxi runs regularly, dropping off and collecting at St Marks Square, taking about 20 minutes. The Hotel has a feeling of luxury about it. Staff were very helpful, taking...

Please find useful info and a hotel review below... On arrival at Venice airport, it's a short 10minute walk to the water taxi station. You can jump on a shared water taxi for €15, about a 30minute transfer. Not the most comfortable of journeys, but suitable if you do not want to pay the €120 for a one way private...

I booked the Excelsior hotel as a surprise trip for my wife's 40th birthday through kirker holidays, we had never been to Venice before and relied on advice of where to stay. The excelsior was a great choice, staff very friendly and efficient throughout. Hotel boat shuttle was very prompt and really helped us to enjoy the main Venice attractions....

Having booked the hotel beforehand, coming from a cruise that ended in Venice, I thought we'd treat ourselves to a liitle bit of luxury, especially since luxury in Lido de Venezia is the equivalent of 2 stars in San Marco ! We weren't aware that the hotel was due to close for renovations on the day we left, but, on...
